Position Summary...

What you'll do...

User Discovery:

Requires knowledge of:

User experience strategies; User interviews and surveys; User journeys; Story boards; Contextual inquiries.

To understand user requirements by conducting interviews and surveys and by assisting in creating user journey and story boards. Conducts preliminary activities to assist with user research and user experience strategy development. Develops an understanding of trends in user consumption habits. Explores user problems and content requirements (for example, elements required of the site to meet user needs). Analyzes, with guidance, qualitative user data.

Managing Functional Partnerships :

Requires knowledge of:

Stakeholder identification and mapping; Stakeholder analysis; Stakeholder communication; Stakeholder engagement techniques; Stakeholder management effectiveness tools and methods; Fluency in many specialized business vernacular; Deep understanding of diverse markets to deliver customer and business value; adapt style and best practices to accommodate cultural differences.

To understand the interests & profiles of key stakeholders to manage functional relationships. Analyze stakeholder technical needs and partner with them to share relevant information. Engage with business partners (internal/external) on a periodic basis and establish credibility for exchanging functional information.

Design Research :

Requires knowledge of:

Principles of research; Best practices of qualitative and quantitative research; Data analysis techniques; Techniques to detect gaps in information; Legal risks, factual errors, and breaches of codes of conduct involving the use of research material; Organizational research requirements; Success metrics for research projects; Purpose of research and how it will be used; Values, limitations, and risks of sources and social networks for research purposes; Emerging methods for obtaining relevant information.

To demonstrate a basic understanding of planning and recruiting participants to facilitate research. Demonstrates awareness of the basic toolkit of research methods, including field studies, participatory design, heuristic evaluations for designs, competitive testing, and iterative and summative lab-based usability testing (in-person or remote). Assists, with guidance, in analyzing and reporting out on a variety of user research studies across platforms. With guidance, identifies areas requiring further research.

Influencing and Building Stakeholder Consensus :

Requires knowledge of:

Verbal/Non-verbal behaviors; Application and allocation of Business Communication styles/techniques in ambiguous and challenging situations; Communication channels/mediums; Interpersonal skills and universal relationship building with ability to connect seemingly unconnected parties; Influencing styles.

To communicate, articulately and concisely, in a one-toone/ stakeholder meeting involving one-two teams. Proactively build personal network and seek and provide constructive feedback. Present data and logic to and influence team, customers and stakeholders. Articulate results/recommendations in a structured manner using relevant data. Actively listens to others and acknowledges different technical perspectives and connects to the product/technology in development.

Driving Customer/Client Needs :

Requires knowledge of:

Customer and business problems; Dependencies and impacts on product processes/ways of working; Journey mapping; Process optimization; Communication and influencing techniques.

To seek and analyze user feedback to understand areas of improvement for a product/services/offerings. Identifies potential process improvements to reduce turnaround times and drive efficiencies to enhance customer experiences.

Usability Testing and Iteration :

Requires knowledge of:

User profiles; Testing scenarios; Documentation; Test plans

To understand the basics of testing against a design specification. Identifies major activities and documents associated with user acceptance testing. Cites multiple examples and types of acceptance tests for user acceptance testing. Compiles a list of procedures and guidelines for test developers and end users. Explains the features and objectives of alpha and beta tests.

Interaction Design :

Requires knowledge of:

User-centered design principles; Native mobile conventions and capabilities (for example, Apple's Human Interface Guidelines for iOS, Google's Android design patterns); Information hierarchy principles; Task analysis; System design processes. Interaction patterns and templates.

To define and document design details through process flows, site maps, wireframes, and functional specifications independently. Adheres to and uses interaction patterns and templates to design consistent and scalable design solutions that account for primary and secondary use cases, more complex data exchanges, and complete error conditions.

Visual Design :

Requires knowledge of:

User-centered design principles; Native mobile conventions and capabilities (for example, Apple's Human Interface Guidelines for iOS, Google's Android design patterns); Templates and style guides; Design tools.

To define and document design details with accurate design specifications (for example, position, padding, font size) in multiple formats independently. Performs visual quality assurance against a design specification and rapidly solve issues. Ensures adherence to and the usage of templates and style guides to design consistent and scalable design solutions and contribute to style guide.

Prototyping :

Requires knowledge of:

Prototyping disciplines, tools, and techniques within target environments; User-centered design principles; Information hierarchy and design principles, task analysis, and system design processes.

To collect information on locally available prototypes within assigned environments. Describes the basic concepts of prototyping development. Adheres to and uses interaction patterns and templates to design prototypes that account for primary and secondary use cases, complex data exchanges, and error conditions and contribute to the pattern library.

Demonstrates up-to-date expertise and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing expert advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices; supporting and aligning efforts to meet customer and business needs; and building commitment for perspectives and rationales.

Provides and supports the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying business needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities.

Must be enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program currently

Expected graduation date between December 2025-August 2026

The annual salary range for this position is $104,000.00-$202,000.00



Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications...

Option 1: Bachelor's degree in UI/UX design, graphic design, visual communication, product design, computer science, information technology, or related area and 1 year's experience in UI/UX, interactive and visual design, electronics art, multimedia design, or related area. Option 2: 3 years' experience in UI/UX, interactive and visual design, electronics art, multimedia design, or related area.
