The GS Communications and Creative Solutions team (GSCCS) is seeking a highly creative communications professional to lead employee communications for the AWS Training and Certification (T&C) business unit, which is passionate about training and certifying customers of all shapes and sizes and revolutionizing the way people advance their cloud IT skills and careers.

Serving as thought leader, subject matter expert, and business partner, the Sr. Communications Manager is responsible for internal strategic communications and works closely with stakeholders across the team, as well as PR, Marketing, Sales, and HR, to deliver executive communications initiatives for senior T&C leaders including the Vice President of the organization. They work backwards from the customer to deliver high-impact messaging across a range of channels and measure success through both quantitative and qualitative data points.

Key job responsibilities:

Define and drive executive and internal communications strategy to support T&C business goals, while emphasizing impact, creativity, efficiency, and speed.Build compelling communications that capture attention across a variety of mediums and channels, including email, digital, video, graphic, and visual communications.Deliver content for executive speaking, presentations, and other leadership communications that reach a wide variety of internal and external audiences.Work closely with our Shared Services team to analyze data, assess content and channel effectiveness, and determine necessary continuous improvement efforts.Partner with GSCCS colleagues in GS Org-Wide Comms, Shared Service and Creative Solutions, as well stakeholders’ teams in Marketing, PR, Sales, and HR to deliver communications for complex business initiatives.Lead and develop a small team of individual contributors and serve as a member of the GSCCS leadership team.Exercise high judgment and a flexible problem-solving approach to deliver results quickly in an ambiguous and evolving environment.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership.- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements.- 5+ years of program or project management experience.- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field with 5+ years of executive communications experience.- Experience developing and delivering communication strategies, from audience and stakeholder analysis through implementation and success metrics tracking.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - 2+ years of driving process improvements experience.- 3+ years of experience managing and developing people, either direct or matrixed reports.- Experience managing multiple long-term communication plans, campaigns, and projects simultaneously.- Demonstrated experience in stakeholder management.Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
