They will play a crucial role in supporting the overall marketing and communications efforts of the organization. They will have a strong grasp of digital communication and marketing, excellent communication skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, and to work independently. The Marketing Coordinator must be able to work across departments to gather information, meet deadlines, and advance the work of the society.POSITION RESPONSIBILITIESCommunication: 35%Execute assigned elements of a comprehensive communication strategy, including production of newsletters, emails, and social media content.Create engaging and informative content to promote association initiatives, events, education, and member achievements.Manage production of email campaigns, ensuring timely delivery and analyzing performance metrics.Website Management: 15%Following established schedules for review and update of content, regularly update and maintain the association's website with relevant content, ensuring accuracy and consistency with site standards.Collaborate within cross-functional teams to implement website enhancements and optimize user experience.Monitor and report website analytics to track performance and propose improvements.Maximize SEO on all website copy – collaborating with all stakeholders on new features, as well as rewrite existing copy.Annual Meeting Marketing: 35%Provide production support for the association's annual meeting, including both print and online materials.Scripting and presentation support for assigned sessions, includes writing and refining drafts, working with volunteers, creating PowerPoint slides, and working/managing onsite responsibilities during Annual Meeting (with onsite A/V team)Review and ensure marketing materials/signage/presentations align with the overall theme and objectives.Write and update website content related to the annual meeting, and coordinate print collateral, coordinating with vendors and ensuring materials arrive onsite.Work closely with the education and programs teams to write / update content for app and online program ensuring accuracy.Public Relations Support: 10%Assist in drafting press releases and other communication materials.Maintain collaborative relationship with outside PR firm and support their outreach between AES members and press as needed.Post all press release to AES websiteMaintain “member focused” press website related to external coverage post-Annual MeetingMaintenance of Department Files: 5%Organize and maintain digital files related to marketing and communications activities.Ensure documents are easily accessible and up to date for team members.Implement and maintain file management best practices.REQUIRED SKILLSBachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field.Proven experience (3-5 years) in marketing and communications, preferably within an association or similar organization.Persuasive written and verbal communication skills.Proficiency in content management systems (CMS), social media platforms, Google analytics, and email marketing tools.Knowledge of public relations best practices and common principals that are followed by PR professionals that include ensure we abide by strong ethics, we thoughtfully consider the audience, are authentic and transparent, are clear in our messaging and fact check what we submitMeticulous with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.Graphic design skills using tools like Adobe Creative Suite.Experience with SEO best practices.Familiarity with association management software.
