Our hire would ideally be based out of our US Headquarters in Atlanta, GA but could also be based out of our locations in Raleigh, NC or Cambridge, MA.Position Overview:The

US Advertising and Promotion Scientist Lead

oversees the development, execution, and compliance of advertising and promotional materials for UCB products. They collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior leadership to ensure alignment with FDA regulations/guidelines and business objectives. They provide oversight of the US Regulatory Advertising and Promotion Team including Advertising and Promotion Scientists as well as Labeling Scientists and provide guidance to direct reports on matters pertaining to promotional strategies. Serves as Regulatory Advertising and Promotion representative on project teams and committees where decisions and outcomes potentially impact all products.Major Responsibilities:US Regulatory Expertise:

Serve as primary regulatory expert in FDA drug marketing and advertising regulations for assigned products.Communicate FDA requirements and industry trends to UCB departments.

Guidance and Leadership:

Provide guidance during cross-functional negotiations.Serve as US Regulatory Lead in developing or revising promotional/scientific communication policies.

Promotional Compliance:

Align promotional strategies with FDA regulations, company policies and business goals.Conduct regulatory reviews of promotional materials.

Collaboration and Education:

Provide expertise during promotional campaign development to inform labeling strategy in collaboration with Labeling ScientistTrain internal teams on promotional guidelines and best practices

Required Experience:Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree10+ years of experience in regulatory affairs, with 7+ years in advertising and promotion complianceExpert knowledge of US laws, regulations, and guidances related to pharmaceutical advertising and promotion complianceRequired Skills and Competencies:Integrity: overriding commitment to integrity and high standards in self and othersStrategic orientation: ability to link visions and daily workCommunication: ability and intention to effectively explain, describe or convey information to a variety of audiences. $154,800 to $225,750 (Atlanta, GA & Raleigh, NC)
