Beauty, the Director of Corporate Communications, Key Markets, will shape the overarching storytelling to influence our corporate reputation as well as lead the communications planning around individual initiatives to our news, business and trade audiences. The role will span across external and internal communications and be focused on strategically distilling events and initiatives from key international markets and weaving them into a comprehensive global narrative.As a primary liaison to international media outlets, our international marketers and agency partners, the director will build and maintain key media relationships while also proactively maintaining the editorial calendar and responding to inbound media inquiries. This role will work closely to proactively develop potential news-driving headlines within the ever-changing media landscape.This role will also be a key stakeholder in building our internal communications stories as we develop our employer brand and engagement with our global team.As a purpose-led, results-driven and community-oriented company, the ideal candidate for this role will be interested and well-versed in current events, cultural conversations and overall media, social and thought-leadership landscapes.Responsibilities :Development and evolution of key global and international corporate narratives that put e.l.f. at the center of conversation among several key audiencesMine e.l.f.’s ethos and always-on initiatives for ongoing newsworthy storiesUnderstand and embrace the nuances between local media markets and consumer trends in the context of global storytellingOwnership of international contributions to the corporate communications editorial calendarCreation of corporate communications strategies, execution plans and briefing booksOversight of content creation to support corporate reputationProactive outreach and organization of media, partners and stakeholders around multiple initiatives simultaneouslyAdviser to Executive Team and international team on media appearances and thought-leadership stagesRequirements :8-10 years of experience in corporate communications, journalism, public relationsKeen interest and knowledge of media, culture, business and purposeExperience in international marketsWillingness to travelCollaborative leadership approach and eagerness to develop cross-functional, passionate partnershipsAbility to understand, leverage and connect quantitative and qualitative dataStrong relationship-building skills in addition to well-established media relationshipsDeep understanding of the corporate and consumer audiences – and where they intersectExcellent writer, editor and strategistEnjoys working in an agile, dynamic and quick-moving environment and a belief that anything is e.l.f.ing possible*Writing assignment required$160,000 - $185,000 a year
