We are seeking a talented Director of Sales with a successful track record for a new hotel opening later this summer...The Springhill Suites in Charlotte, NC!

The Director of Sales and Marketing oversees the creation and execution of strategies aimed at boosting sales, maximizing hotel occupancy, and strengthening the hotel's brand visibility. Leading the sales team, this role is pivotal in achieving the hotel's financial goals by leveraging insights into hospitality industry dynamics, market shifts, and impactful promotional approaches.

Responsibilities:

Create and implement a comprehensive sales strategy targeting diverse market segments, encompassing group, corporate, and leisure clientele.

Achieve all Individual and Team Sales Goals that include Budget, Forecast, and P&L; for all established segments.

Guide the sales team in identifying new business opportunities, nurturing existing client relationships, and achieving revenue goals.

Oversee the hotel's digital presence, managing the website, social media platforms, and online travel platforms.

Analyze market trends and guest feedback to pinpoint areas for improvement and innovation.

Monitor sales performance, track essential metrics, and deliver regular reports to management.

Hold daily Sales Review & Production Meetings, and weekly Sales Department Meetings.

Collaborate across departments to ensure seamless execution of group events, meetings, and conventions.

Work closely with revenue management teams to optimize pricing strategies and maximize RevPAR.

Implement effective yield management tactics to balance occupancy rates and pricing.

Monitor and adjust pricing strategies in response to competitive market conditions.

Foster strong relationships with key clients, industry partners, and stakeholders.

Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows to network and stay informed about industry developments.

Develop and oversee the sales and marketing budget, allocating resources efficiently.

Conduct regular financial analyses to evaluate campaign and strategy effectiveness.

Utilize data-driven insights to enhance marketing ROI.

Recruit, train, and lead a high-performing sales and marketing team.

Provide guidance, coaching, and performance assessments for team members.

Cultivate a collaborative and innovative work environment to inspire creativity.

Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, Business, Marketing, or a related field.

Demonstrated success in hotel sales and marketing, including a proven ability to meet revenue targets.

Strong capabilities in leadership and team management.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

Proficiency in utilizing hotel management systems, sales software, and marketing analytics tools.

Deep understanding of the local and regional hospitality market.

Working Conditions & Physical Effort:Physical work is a primary part of many of our hotel and resort jobs. Physical requirements include extended standing and walking, climbing, bending, reaching, pulling, pushing, kneeling, and lifting to 50 lbs. Some work is performed in an interior hotel environment with equipment and machines.
