The agency, through its programs and services, encourages the inclusion of people with disabilities into the mainstream of society, including social, recreational, family and work activities.The Instructional Designer will design and develop trainings in a matrix environment for various internal and external stakeholders. This person will partner with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to assess training needs and create impactful and effective learning experiences using a variety of delivery methods (in person, virtual, and web-based) with measurable results.Essential FunctionsCollaborate with cross functional team members and SME’s to define and document learning objectives.Design and develop technical and soft skills trainings using a variety of methods including in person, virtual and self-paced/online learning to optimize learning across various target audiences.Incorporate various formats including group discussions, lectures, simulations, and videos into training design.Evaluate learning effectiveness using the 4 levels of measurement.Ensure trainings and materials meet ADA regulations.Update and maintain master training files.Create and maintain knowledge base.Conduct train the trainer sessions as needed.Perform other related duties as needed.Experience with Instructional Design.Experience with e-learning software, LMS, knowledge bases, and other related software supporting trainings.Experience with Articulate or similar products.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.Comfortable working in a collaborative environment.Strongly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and virtual learning platforms such as Teams, Zoom and Webex.Exemplifies the desired culture and philosophies of the organization.Required Education and ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Training and Development, or a related field preferred.Instructional Design Certification required.At least three years of instructional design experience or educational equivalent required.At least three years of training experience in a non-profit environment preferred.Experience creating trainings that are ADA compliant.Experience with knowledge bases preferred.This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and scanners.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
