Responsibilities:

Develop innovative new features and product profiles.Research and stay abreast of competitive products and current trends, applying them appropriately to product design and development.Prepare presentation CADs and factory artwork for new and existing items.Develop new prints and patterns as needed, ensuring that all items are within specified timelines.Review new development samples for construction quality and cost.Review lab dip and pattern swatches for production.Attend meetings and liaise with Product Management teams as required.Other duties as required.

Qualifications:

Post secondary education (Bachelor’s degree or College diploma) in Industrial Design or related field.At least five (5) years of experience in product design and development, preferably in the consumer products industry.Demonstrated proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).Experience with SolidWorks or other 3D CAD packages would be considered a plus.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point).Knowledge of textiles, synthetic materials, and hardware.Possess excellent communication skills for articulating design and technical concepts, collaborating with overseas factories, and liaising effectively with cross-functional teams.Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills.Showcase a creative mindset coupled with a meticulous eye for detail.Exhibit strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and meet tight deadlines without compromising quality.Reliable and self-motivated; a team player, yet able to work without close supervision.
