Unit 9 - CSUEU - Technical Support Services, Probationary, Full Time, Marketing/Communications, Telecommute eligible (work onsite as scheduled and/or as requested and telecommute as scheduled)Position SummaryUnder the direction of the Associate Director for Communications & Strategic Initiatives and the Marketing & Communications Specialist, the Marketing Coordinator plays a key role within the Office of Housing Administration team, contributing to the success of the on-campus housing program. This position provides comprehensive marketing support to the OHA and Residential Education Office (REO) staff. Duties include social media management, communications and marketing campaigns, special event coordination, graphic design, website development, and other related tasks.This is a full-time (1.0 time-base), benefits eligible, permanent/probationary position exempt under FLSA and not eligible for overtime compensation. Standard SDSU work hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., but may vary based on operational needs. Partial telecommuting with onsite work in San Diego is approved.Department SummaryThe Office of Housing Administration (OHA) is responsible for planning, providing, and administering housing operations, services, and facilities. OHA supports the educational mission of the Residential Education Office (REO) while providing business operations for all housing-related functions.Education and ExperienceEntry to this position requires knowledge of public affairs, media relations, and marketing. A college degree with relevant coursework and up to two years of related professional experience is typical. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.Key QualificationsBachelor's degree in art, graphic design, or related field preferredCompetence in project management using platforms like Canva and Google WorkspaceThorough knowledge of web communication techniques and ability to build media contactsStrong digital design skills and ability to meet deadlines in a high-paced settingWillingness to travel for professional development and adjust working hours as neededCompensation and BenefitsStarting salary expected up to $4,148 per month. Salary placement depends on education, experience, and departmental resources.
