Thus, we are looking for a talented and dedicated Managing Editor who can take the reins of SportTechie’s content production and play a crucial role in building the next great sports media company.Job Description You will be empowered to:Manage all elements of SportTechie’s editorial operationsMake a name for yourself as a sports technology expert and thought leaderExpand both the quality and quantity of SportTechie’s contentCreate, edit and write exceptional sports technology content such as daily news, interviews, and overall industry analysisManage SportTechie’s network of talented sports journalistsStay on top of the latest sports tech news, insights and analysis in order to create relevant and timely content and assignmentsTrain and develop new writersExecute special editorial projects beyond the scope of our daily contentWork closely with SportTechie’s founding teamTravel to the top sports tech related conferences and eventsQualifications
Preferably 5 or more years of writing and editing experience at a digital publicationStrong understanding of digital media, SEO, social media and online content strategyPrior experience with CMS platforms, particularly WordpressExceptional communicator who will coach and manage other writersAn entrepreneurial spirit who truly wants to help build SportTechieA love and deep knowledge of technologyAbility to execute regular job duties whether you are in a Starbucks, airport terminal or your home officeAdditional Information
Job Location:
Work remotely with consistent daily communication with the SportTechie team. Being in a major city is preferred.Compensation:
