SUMMARY:

The Senior Marketing Services Manager (SMSM) will provide guidance/direction and support to Marketing Managers and Coordinators in assigned offices/markets. SMSM projects are primarily driven by the Office Managing Partner(s) (“OMP”) and Partners-In-Charge (PIC). In addition, the SMSM will help supervise industry/practice development efforts within their assigned offices in collaboration with Client Growth and Communications teams. SMSM will also be responsible for the above mentioned matters in their own respective offices.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Acts as marketing department supervisor for local marketing team members in offices as assigned.Works closely with marketing team members to identify and propose solutions for ongoing opportunities to improve local marketing and project support.Provide guidance, leadership, coaching and consulting for projects and events to local marketing services team representatives.Communicate consistently and share feedback with assigned team members to help develop skills and foster professional growth.Keep team Director apprised of office marketing activity and seek guidance from Director as needed.Management of firm wide centralized resources and support as assigned.Home Office ResponsibilityWork directly with the Marketing Services Manager or Coordinator in assigned markets to fulfill objectives defined by the office OMP or PIC.Acts as marketing resource in primary assigned office(s).Leads efforts to drive new business to the firm by executing office initiatives, leveraging broader firm-wide client development, and profile-raising efforts including and not limited to community engagement.Contribute to OMP or PIC and administrative team to develop and implement office strategic plans as needed.Implement firm-wide branding campaigns at the local/regional level as assigned.Assist the OMP or PIC with regional marketing budget matters, including consultation on budget development, monitoring expenditures, evaluating expenses, maintaining budget files, and preparing check requests.Drive internal communications for the offices and reporting of marketing/BD successes.Stay abreast of PR activity & initiatives relating to assigned offices and connect lawyers with communications team and client growth members as matters/projects arise.Participate in the new attorney onboarding process in home office and other offices as needed.Oversee external local/regional marketing vendor relationships and purchasing as needed.Manage community support and office-supported practice development sponsorships at the local level, including coordinating ads, branding, attendance for events and evaluating ROI.Work with communications team to prepare appropriate community support advertisements, event invitations, and other collateral designs.Track attorney board memberships, leadership activity & professional affiliations.Other duties as assigned.Collaboration with Client Growth Department on practice and industry driven projects:Collaborate with Client Growth on thought leadership content, attorney speaking engagements, presentations, marketing events and more.Collaborate with Client Growth to gather information on and assess membership opportunities in regional business and/or trade organizations and boards.Collaborate with local elements of new attorney onboarding plan with client growth and lateral integration teams.Collaborate with Communications and Client Growth on office specific marketing collateral as needed.Organize & execute business development marketing as needed/requested and educate lawyers and legal administrative assistants in assigned region regarding new processes.EventsLead all office profile-raising & practice related events, including community support of firms involvement with galas/luncheons/dinners, office anniversary/milestone events, including site selection, invitations, developing targeted mailing lists, tracking RSVPs, CLE compliance, catering management and other events as assigned.In collaboration with practice group events/seminars, manage all elements of on-site logistics and execution, including event registration, conference room reservations, and liaising with guest reception and office hospitality services.Internal Services And SupportProvide local support for internal firm wide initiative as assigned.Examples include, Talent Resource Group support, alumni engagement, DEI, Pro Bono, Key Client Services.Provide support for central Marketing Services including virtual event support, CLE management, company store, website bio photo coordination, tradeshow/industry conference fulfilment and other administrative department programs as assigned.The employee must be able to perform all essential job duties and responsibilities of this position satisfactorily and as outlined, with or without reasonable accommodations. Knowledge, Skills And Abilities RequiredCollege-level training in Marketing or related field or related experience.A minimum of five years of experience in Legal Marketing or professional services preferred in an administrative supervisor or coordinator role requiring independent work and demonstrated project & personnel leadership.Ability to work with little supervision.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Must have high degree of poise and professionalism when interacting with internal and external contacts.Ability to prioritize workload and solve problems quickly.Strong organizational systems, operate with a sense of urgency, strong attention to detail, reliable, responsive and punctual, strong analytical and problem solving skills, able to work harmoniously with others, able to work under pressure, be a self-starter, able to manage multiple projects/events with competing deadlines and priorities, demonstrate an ability to change with changing direction.Capable of leading a team, navigating challenges and coaching team members in developing job skills and meeting expectations.Computer skills include advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Canva and experience with CRM software. Must be able to assist individuals of various levels with needs and problems and react to difficult situations appropriately.Work often requires more than forty (40) hours per week to perform the essential duties of the position; may require irregular hours and occasional travel.This job description is intended to describe the general requirements of this position. NEW YORK CITY APPLICANT SALARY BENCHMARK:

$150,000-175,000, dependent on experience.
