The Digital Video Producer is responsible for the developing, planning, producing, editing, and marketing of compelling video and visual content across a variety of digital channels and platforms for FOX 5 DC, including CTV, FAST channels, the FOX5DC.com website and news app, YouTube, and other social media platforms in short, long, and live streaming video formats.The Digital Video Producer works with the FOX 5 Newsroom to produce, optimize, and promote visually-focused storytelling, ranging from real-time breaking news to planned weekly digital streaming shows. This position reports to the FOX 5 DC Digital Content Manager. The role requires a creative, competitive self-starter with strong project management skills that understands the digital video consumer’s behavior across platforms and adapts to the evolving media environment by monitoring audience trends to adjust content and platform strategy.Primary responsibilities:Work with FOX 5 DC teams to plan and execute daily and weekly digital productionPitch, develop, shoot, produce, edit, and optimize content for various platformsProduce breaking news, live event streams, and program the streaming scheduleAnalyze data for audience engagement and report video content KPIsProvide video editing support for Creative Services departmentSkills:Experience editing video content for digital platformsDigital content and audience data analysis skillsStrong news judgment, social media trends knowledgeVideo SEO knowledge, video camera experienceVideo storytelling, writing, editing, and graphics skillsExperience with live stream productionStrong organization and project management abilitiesQualifications:2-3 years in TV or digital news video productionDegree in communications, media, journalism, or related fieldsPortfolio with clips of digital video contentThis position requires weekend work and schedule flexibility for breaking news.
