Growing together.Optum is seeking a health care professional to serve as a critical team member for the execution of pharmaceutical industry focused Payer Marketing consulting services. The related services represent an expansion of offerings from the Pharmacy Advisory Services (PAS) team, which sits in the broader Optum Advisory Services (OAS) organization. Current PAS offerings include a variety of actuarial- and payer-focused education, modeling, and strategy services. The Senior Consultant will work hand-in-hand with the Senior Director responsible for this expansion, as well as other PAS and OAS subject matter experts and consultants. Upon market-readiness of the expanded offerings, the Senior Consultant will be the operational lead for all projects and, with other team members, will be expected to achieve the highest levels of client satisfaction. The role includes what will be significant interaction with our clients, external experts, and other colleagues across our corporate matrix.You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.Primary Responsibilities:Contribute to trusted relationships with clientsAchieve the highest level of client satisfactionAchieve solid team and matrix relationshipsProactively develop technical and professional behavioral skillsSupport the development of expanded Payer Marketing consulting servicesSupport sales and contracting operations for the Payer Marketing consulting servicesEfficiently and effectively lead operational project deliveryExperience using publicly available information to support topic-specific inquiriesCoordinate and facilitate individual and group interactions in virtual and in-person settingsYou’ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:5+ years of experience working directly for one or more pharmaceutical companies2+ years of experience in Payer Marketing, Market Access, and/or related disciplinesDemonstrated ability to coordinate projects with multiple project stakeholdersDemonstrated ability to coordinate and influence senior professionals and subject matter expertsWilling to travel at least 10% of the time (on average)Preferred Qualifications:Experience in MarketingExperience in early phase commercial development (PII and early PIII)Experience in Market Research
