The eBay Global Marketing team is responsible for driving long term, sustainable growth for the eBay brand and its focus categories. Within the Global Marketing org, the US Brand team is looking for a Head of Social, Influencer and Events to lead eBay’s organic and paid social strategy, influencer approach and event activations. They will be responsible for delivering our brand message and reasons to believe in eBay across social platforms and events, and encouraging scalable connections with enthusiast communities to drive advocacy– all with an eye to lifting brand salience.The right candidate will have both a creative and strategic attitude, be proficient in digital and social channels, have a deep experience with influencer platforms and leading events. Equally comfortable ‘rolling sleeves up’ and thinking long-term, they will work in tandem with regional brand marketing, CRM, comms, product, business units, customer support, media and performance marketing teams to develop engaging social marketing programs and events strategies in support of eBay’s most important priorities. The ability to think strategically, be agile, lead teams, and drive to performance will be imperative to the success of this role.What you will accomplish:

Operationalize new streamlined social strategy in alignment with overarching global brand strategy for focused brand impact. Implement, measure and optimize.Evolve influencer strategy, establishing new engagement frameworks, talent pillars and influencing product development. Work across teams to define collaborative execution plans.Drive overarching content and engagement strategy across platforms and lead team of Social and Community Managers to deliver against goals across eBay and Focus Category paid, owned and earned social.Co-lead, with media, relationships with platform partners to drive creative and media excellence through organic and paid efforts.Set team-wide objectives and refine measurement framework to show impact on business goals across all programs.Collaborate with other regional leads on global approach to social, establishing a global playbook for “social at eBay” with regional-focused execution.What you will bring:

10+ years in brand social marketing with experience in influencer, organic and paid social performance management and events.Consumer-obsessed with a passion for connecting brands with communities and sustainably telling brand stories at scale.Proven track record as people leader and external partner manager. Agile thinker, team-oriented and solution-focused.Experience establishing measurement that quantifies impact of efforts against the business.Familiarity with standing up new social and influencer strategies and quantifying performance and impact.Comfortable selling new insights to leadership with poise, passion and integrity, backed by data and details.A strong bias for action, but balances it with the ability to establish clarity and lead in ambiguity. Possesses the courage to innovate where structure and vision is evolving, but is mindful of preserving relationships and building trust with peers and business partners.Bachelor degree (or equivalent experience) required.
