Leverages people and project management skills, blended with human-centered design to support the development of new products and integration of external partners/products into the Sutter Health system to create new-to-the-world health experiences in healthcare. Working with Design and Innovation leadership, the PM II collaborates with and manages project managers in the successful design and delivery of projects that make the healthcare system more simple, engaging, affordable, and human.Job Description:This role is hybrid with the successful candidate working on site at the Innovation Center in San Francisco.EDUCATION:

TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:8 years of recent experience.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:Project Management Knowledge: Has deep understanding of how to lead teams distributed across multiple departments and organizations, manage action items, and ship pilots.
Healthcare Knowledge: Knowledge of healthcare structures, stakeholders, regulations, constraints, challenges, trends, incentives, technology, and opportunities. Stays abreast of healthcare and technology to filter partners effectively. Understanding of hospital and clinic clinical processes, epic workflows, and healthcare privacy regulations is preferred.
Partnership / Pilot Content Knowledge: Knowledge in identifying, evaluating, developing, and managing external partnerships. Experience in scoping pilots, matching external partners/products with health system needs, integrating with clinical and support functions, negotiating contracts/agreements, and building implementation plans (training, communications, IS, measurement, etc.).
Design Knowledge: Interest in user research, synthesis, and prototyping. Ability to flex into design tasks as needed to integrate innovation, design, and technology into viable solutions.
Lean Knowledge: Demonstrated experience employing Lean methodologies to drive innovation and process design, with an understanding of how Lean and Human-Centered Design interact.
Project Management Skills: Proven ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously, demonstrating successful program transition from concept to implementation and measurement.
Clinical Team Interaction / Facilitation Skills: Works well with providers and care teams in various settings, can lead and facilitate interdisciplinary teams, and collaboratively coach operations managers through pilots.
Administrative Team Interaction / Facilitation Skills: Can lead meetings with senior administrative leaders and build personal relationships to advance partnerships.
Prototyping Skills: Can facilitate ideating new solutions/products/services in partnership with patients, providers, care teams, and operations leads. Capable of prototyping workflow redesigns, wireframes, service improvements, and new technologies.
Data Analysis & Financial Modeling Skills: Can create actionable information from clinical and financial reports and produce reports showing pilot outcomes. Knowledge of Sutter Health data and analytics structure/contacts is preferred.
User Research & Synthesis Skills: Can support design team members in conducting human-centered research to understand current practices of care delivery and synthesize insights to communicate stakeholder needs and opportunity areas.
Software Skills: Proficient in using various digital tools for project management and content production, including project management software and Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel). Skills with Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, and Keynote are preferred.
Independent judgment and assessment of impact are essential skills in this role.
