We seek applications from outstanding candidates with experience to teach historic or contemporary period (see our list of courses) in the following visual cultures:Africa and its diasporaAsia and its diasporaEurope and the AmericasThe MediterraneanNative AmericasOceania and its diasporaThe members of the department are committed to the investigation of art and visual culture from a wide range of theoretical perspectives. We seek colleagues with secure knowledge of visual materials and demonstrated interest in examining such materials and related issues within contexts of culture and history. We are especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through their teaching.Internal candidates will be given priority consideration.Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

(required at time of application)M.A. or MFA (or equivalent foreign degree) in art history/visual culture or relevant field of study (e.g., media studies or communication); or M. Arch.Teaching experience at the college or university level.Application Requirements
