Our data products and programs range from deep learning based causal inference framework to attribution analysis and data self service platforms.In this role, you will define a multi-year strategy and roadmap for the team. No one will tell you how to do your job. You must seek out what needs done on a project and ensure it gets done.Key job responsibilities* Lead large-scale science and self-service data products across design, build and maintain phases.* Play a senior role in setting up PM-T best practices across DISCO organization* Manage bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make trade-offs, balance the business needs versus technical constraints, and maximize business benefit while building great customer experiences.* Partnering with our BI and DE teams to enhance self-service , data availability, and broad access to customer insights made available through.* Defining and developing tests to identify the best way to reach, convert, and retain customers.* Reporting to senior leadership and the team at large, on customer, product and customer insights and trends.* Combining online web customer behavior and offline customer attributes to gain novel and powerful understanding of Digital Music customers.* Quickly build a thorough understanding of the Digital Music industry, its seasonality and global business trends and continually monitor the impact of important industry developments.* Present confidently to senior management, executive stakeholders, and other large audiences.A day in the lifeIdentifying and understanding opportunityDon’t let your customer’s solutions drive your requirements, let their problems.Consider the true “value” of a feature before committing to including it in your product. You must seek out what needs done on a project and ensure it gets done.About the teamThe Data, Insights, Science and Optimization, Consumer Product and Tech (DISCO CPT) team is looking for a Principal Product Manager -Technical to join a team of Data Scientists, Analytics Leads, Business Intelligence Engineers and Data Engineers who analyze big data, provide analytics and insights as well as build models and algorithms that power product for personalized experiences. DISCO CPT team focuses on accelerating Amazon Music customer growth by empowering Product teams to make sound, customer-centric decisions through data and insights. We build strategic data products, data pipelines, self-service analytics, insights and dashboards, deliver engagement and retention at scale. In this role, you will lead the self-service and data product efforts for Amazon Music product and marekting teams. You will set the product roadmap and direction with stakeholders and partners to deliver self-service solutions to advance our analytics and science offerings. The ideal candidate must be willing to effectively lead analytics solutions, prioritize across multiple stakeholders and projects and be ready to jump into a fast-paced, dynamic and fun environmentBasic Qualifications- 2+ years of experience with end to end product delivery- 5+ years of technical product management, program management or engineering experience- Bachelor's Degree- Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product- 3+ years of experience managing teams- Experience owning feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product- Experience owning roadmap strategy and definitionPreferred Qualifications- •Experience working with science, business intelligence and engineering teams. •You have a deep understanding and natural curiosity for data science and data products. •Relentless bias for action. One of your favorite things to do as a product manager to launch, learn and iterate. •You know what matters most to customers and can simplify product requirements to deliver benefits to customers as quickly as possible. · Proven ability to make smart features (customer experience) versus time-to-market trade-offs. •You have experience using data and metrics to back up assumptions and assertions of business value. •Understand all aspects of the product lifecycle. •Proven ability to understand and solve complex business problems, leveraging your strong analytical skills and ability to dive deep, to create effective strategies. •Excellent communication skills, particularly written skills. You are as comfortable speaking in front of the company at an all-hands meeting as you are writing a detailed six-page narrative on your products that you can defend with the highest levels of senior leadership. •Basic technical fluency. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market.
