Become a **maker of possible** with us.**Role Overview**We’re hiring a Manager, Executive Communications to join our Corporate Communications team. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role that will contribute to and help implement engagement plans and communications tactics that position BD CEO and executives as thought leaders, clearly articulate the priorities of the company and culture, and raise awareness of the role BD plays in advancing the future of healthcare. The manager will report to the Director of Executive Communications, helping to create content for a range of key audiences across internal, external and social channels. Collaboration, strong writing and editing, attention to detail and experience working with C-suite executives will be key to success in this role.**Primary Responsibilities**· Support executive communications director in writing and editing content for CEO and senior executives including global employee town hall messages, video scripts, company-wide emails, digital and social content, media pitches, interview prep documents, and speaking engagement materials.· Collaborate to produce executive video content, with working knowledge of video production and editing.· Develop and execute social media strategy for senior executives that reinforces company messages and priorities.· Own content calendars for executives to ensure consistency across platforms, especially social.· Research media outlets and reporters covering leadership, business and strategy beats.· Maintain media target lists and high-profile speaking opportunities for CEO and BD executives across a range of verticals.· Analyze communications metrics, develop reports and make recommendations to adapt plans for the greatest impact.· Collaborate with members across corporate communications, as well as other critical functions, to implement the executive communications strategy for the CEO and other executive leaders.**Skillset – this is a role for you if:**· You’re a bold and strategic thinker with a passion for storytelling.· You have previous experience supporting work for C-level executives or executive committee members.· Your writing, editing, attention to detail and research skills are superb.· You have strong social media skills and experience developing social content for executive leaders.· You operate calmly under tight deadlines, prioritize simultaneous projects, take initiative to deliver outcomes and efficiently organize tasks and workflows.· You’re collaborative and capable of building consensus and strong working relationships within a highly matrixed organizational structure.· You’re comfortable and confident when communicating with media, industry influencers, associates and internal partners at all levels of the organization.· You can analyze data to draw actionable insights and recommend new strategies and content to improve performance.· You demonstrate executive presence, sound judgment, diplomacy skills and the highest levels of professionalism when handling confidential material.· You’re excited to learn and grow with our team.**Qualifications:**· Bachelor’s Degree required – preferably in Communication, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, Business or related field.· Minimum 5+ years professional experience in corporate communications required.· Experience working on programs for C-level leaders required, support for Office of the CEO preferred.· Experience in internal, external/PR, social media, digital communications and tools.· Must possess native or native-level written, oral and interpersonal communications skills in English.· Proficiency in PR Newswire, Media Monitoring Services, LinkedIn/Twitter.· Strong and effective project management and organizational skills.· Experience in communications in a corporate environment and/or agency preferred.· Experience in highly regulated industry and/or large, matrixed company preferred.For certain roles at BD, employment is contingent upon the Company’s receipt of sufficient proof that you are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
