Summary You will serve as a LEAD VISUAL INFORMATION SPECIALIST (MEDICAL) in the VISUAL INFORMATION DIRECTORATE of NAVMEDSUP DET BETHESDA MD. Responsibilities You will assist the supervisor in planning, organizing, and administering the visual information program You will articulate and communicate to the Medical Graphic Arts Department (MGAD) team members their visual information assignments and projects, discussing graphic design strategies, setting deadlines and time frames for completion. You will coach the MGAD team in the selection and application of appropriate visual information problem-solving methods and techniques You will identify, distribute, and re-balance visual information workload and tasks among team members in accordance with established workflow, skill level and/or occupational specialization. You will train or arrange for the training of MGAD team members in visual information methods and graphic design techniques You will monitor and report on the status and progress of visual information work You will serve as visual information coach, facilitator and/or negotiator in coordinating MGAD team initiatives and in consensus building activities among MGAD team members. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience providing visual arts/media production methods and techniques guidance to leadership and other visual arts specialists Experience developing original designs, concepts or visual styles for information/education/training presentation materials, publications and exhibits Experience producing complex computer images from abstract ideas or concepts using highly sophisticated computer graphics systems and programs Experience integrating complex computer images into the design and production of visual information projects Additional qualification information can be found from the following Office of Personnel Management web site: pm.gov/policy-data-oversight/classification-qualifications/general-schedule-qualification-standards/#url=List-by-Occupational-Series Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social).
