(Exempt Salaried). Salary range is $45,000 – $55,000, with professional development funding of up to $2,500 annually. Scope of this onsite multimedia and support position includes but is not limited to:+ Setting up and delivering computers across the campus of the U of U (transportation provided+ Working with stakeholders for videography planning, shooting, editing, and composition of content+ Supporting classroom AV technologyThe individual in this position works closely with other members of the SYSTECH team to provide technology support for stakeholders via ticketing system and zoom room style help desk. (Exempt Salaried)+ Support faculty in producing and editing videos, recording audio, creating PowerPoint presentations, capturing desktop demonstrations, and performing other multimedia tasks to enrich course content.+ Deliver technical support for audio-visual, multimedia, and video services across various classroom content, meetings, training sessions, and events; film and edit sessions as needed.+ Setup, monitor and troubleshoot Distance Education video conferencing classrooms.+ Monitor and troubleshoot general classroom, AV, and distance education technology+ Deploy IT equipment to stakeholders and users in supported locations+ Process and document IT asset inventory+ Provide tier 1 technical support for end users and stakeholders+ Collaborate with technical groups to gain knowledge and find best solutions+ Create processes, documentation, and training material+ Take ownership of issues and processes and see requests through to successful outcomes+ Other projects as assigned**Work Environment and Level of Frequency typically required**Often: Office environment, hazards (includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, or exposure to chemicals).Seldom: Outdoor environment, extreme cold, extreme heat.**Physical Requirements and Level of Frequency that may be required**Nearly Continuously: Hearing, listening, talking.Often: Sitting, standing, talking, walking, bending, twisting, climbing, kneeling, squatting, crawling, reaching overhead, pulling, pushing.Seldom: Lifting – up to 50 pounds.**Minimum Qualifications**Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalency or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience) and 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within areas of specialty.**Preferences**+ Multimedia Demo / Portfolio+ Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and Captivate) or other industry multimedia software is essential in completing job responsibilities.+ Experience in AV Broadcast / Videographer background preferred.+ Experience with camera and audio equipment for video shoots+ Organizational and project management skills+ Strong interpersonal communication and documentation skills+ IT Help Desk support and experience+ IT troubleshooting skills with knowledge of diagnosing OS and IT issues+ Preference is given for a bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent.+ Windows 10/11 and Mac OS desktop support experience is expected**Type** Benefited Staff**Special Instructions Summary**\*Please clearly include in your Resume (or the Applicant Document – Other) a sample portfolio or link to your work in a portfolio or video projects resource.**Additional Information**The University is a participating employer with Utah Retirement Systems (“URS”).
