MARKETING & EVENTS COORDINATORJob DetailsJob LocationTH Media - Dubuque, IADescriptionOverall Responsibilities :+ Coordinate TH Media special event planning for revenue generating events and projects within budget parameters.+ Development and implementation of comprehensive sales and promotion plan to successfully market TH Media initiatives.+ Assist THM/WCM Marketing Manager as needed with special emphasis on community events and promotion.+ Work efficiently and effectively with in-house staff, customers, travelers and vendors.Specific Responsibilities :+ Communicate clearly both verbally and in written form, with the highest degree of professionalism and confidentiality.+ Suggest and initiate, as appropriate, new methods and procedures to enhance efficient operation of the department or newspaper overall.+ Initiate, procure, develop, sell sponsorships and coordinate logistics from start to finish on TH Media sponsored events.+ Generate revenue through sales (sponsorships, tickets, booths, etc.) or coordinate promotion-event sales working directly with advertising department in revenue generation.+ Coordinate with the THM/WCM Marketing Manager the Consumer Travel Program+ Develop promotional plans and coordinate in house and outside media promotion of TH Media events within budget parameters.+ Assist with budgeting and “flash” report including monitoring monthly budget and expenses.+ Assist in TH Media promotion house ad flow with Creative Services and online components.+ Work in conjunction with THM/WCM Marketing Manager, TH Media Advertising and Audience Development Departments and outside resources to promote and grow TH Media events and special projects.+ Positively represent TH Media and corporation in the community.+ Maintain a “customer comes first” environment with pro-active commitment to internal and external customer service.+ Other job-related duties as assigned by THM/WCM Marketing Manager.+ Actively participates in the Great Game of Business.+ Other duties as assigned.QualificationsBehavior : Self-starter who works well with others; presents a “friendly and helpful” image with internal and external customers. Must be imaginative, creative, resourceful, organized, able to work independently, follow through on projects and meet deadlines. Preserve confidentiality. Appropriate professional behavior and attire. Valid driver’s license.Skills : Sales & marketing. Leadership ability. Strong communication skills, both written and orally. Detail oriented. Understanding of business, retail or accounting procedures or applications.Knowledge: College degree or equivalent successful career track with minimum of one year in advertising, marketing or business.
