Our team’s mission is to lead the way for all Prime Video clients, by making Fire TV the best device for customers to enjoy Prime Video and making Prime Video the preferred video service for Fire TV customers.The Prime Video on Fire TV team is seeking for a talented and enthusiastic Quality Assurance Engineer (QAE) to test revolutionary new features for the Prime Video experience on Fire TV.Key job responsibilitiesIn this role you will be embedded with our Software Development Engineers to better understand features and technical implementation. You will have tons of opportunities to build new features for the Prime Video experience on Fire TV and to develop your own career. You will work with our product managers, and user experience designers, to understand customer usage models and develop test plans and test suites that approximate real-world environments and regression tests. You will work to insert quality into all phases of the software development process. You will participate in release/feature sign-off to ensure the high quality bar of our product. You will be encouraged to propose improvements to our existing processes and automated tools in order to improve the team’s speed, quality and efficiency. You will implement test automation on different platforms and devices.A day in the lifeOur QA Engineers test code at the user level, both manually and with automated tools. We use black box, gray box, and white box testing techniques; you are expected to be able to understand software internals, debug problems using log files, and write automated tests and/or user-level test automation tools.About the teamThe Prime Video Fire TV team is responsible for the browse, and discovery experiences on Fire TV. We are part of the larger Prime Video organization, delivering high-quality premium video content through subscriptions as well as purchases and rentals. On this team you will work with a small group of engineers leading the design and implementation of Android and React Native client features to support Prime Video on Fire TV. In this position you will be responsible for using existing services to access catalog, execute purchases, and drive playback.About Prime VideoPrime Video offers customers a vast collection of movies, series, and sports—all available to watch on hundreds of compatible devices. More than 200 million Prime members in 25 countries around the world enjoy access to Amazon’s enormous selection, exceptional value, and fast delivery.Basic Qualifications- 6+ years of quality assurance engineering experience- 4+ years of delivering test frameworks, test tools, leading the QA projects and initiatives experience- Bachelor's degree- Knowledge of QA methodology and tools, with demonstrated experience in an QAE role- Experience in manual testing- Experience in automation testingPreferred Qualifications- 2+ years of UI Automation (preferably on mobile platforms) experience- Knowledge of at least one modern object-oriented programming language such as C++, Java, Objective CAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The base pay for this position ranges from $120,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $207,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
