Marketing Specialist

This versatile position is highly engaged with the membership communication via email, social channels, apps, and public-facing domains. This person brings the fun to every interaction, while growing engagement rates and following. This person will contribute to the creativity of the marketing team through engaging SWACU-branded content, to be shared on SWACU's internal and external channels. We're looking for a big thinker who can brainstorm ideas and run with them.

Main Duties

Member Engagement: Social Media & AdvertisementSocial media content developmentSocial media management: Manage multiple social media channels and respond followers and cultivate engagements daily including all social media channels, SWACU app reviews, and Google My Business reviews and messagesAvid Instagram, Facebook user: A/B testing for postingsResponsible for staying up to date on trends in order to maximize member engagementIdentify and interpret engagement analytics of these platformsGrow online brand through a multi-platform campaigns and cross sell opportunitiesExperience with digital marketing and ad creationExcels in diverse design areas like digital ads, print, email for consistent branding.Graphic design, creation of deliverables for multiple channels - original creation of art (no stock art)Website managementSEO Principles - brand engagement: write and edit high quality SEO friendly content for digital platforms, strategies and performance measurementsProficient in key word search - paid ad search and advertisementsWork with VP of Marketing to create marketing materials: brochures, posters, digital ads, web page, newsletters & email campaignsAd copy creation - write and edit quality copy for ad workGraphic assets for campaignsWebsite managementHave a clear understanding of credit unions and align tone and brand to culture preferredGeneral photography knowledge, transitions, lighting, and editing preferredSoftware experience preferred: Adobe Illustrator, Canva, Exclaimer, Documatics, Adque, Photoshop, Hootsuite and other editing softwareExcellent writing, spelling, editing, proofing and grammar skillsCollaborate cohesively with the marketing team and other departmentsBring original innovative ideas to the creative tableNewsletter/Social Posts

Using a set marketing schedule, working directly with VP of Marketing and an external designer to create copy for newsletters, monthly email updates, marketing campaigns and other communications through email marketing, direct mail marketing, print advertising, social media channels and Credit Union website.

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Management, Journalism, or Advertising/Public Relations and 2 years experience in social media marketing requiredStrong portfolio and engagement analyticsDemonstrated abilities with Adobe products, HTML, CRM, Excel, and other Microsoft productsDemonstrated working knowledge of social analytics requiredAdept at understanding ever-changing digital trends and new technologiesFamiliarity with online banking trends and applications in the financial space is a plusStrong communication skills including written, verbal, and listeningMust be able to engage in problem-solving, and help identify and solve potential issuesAbility to handle multiple projects and prioritizeEffective time managementStrong attention to detailPortfolio preferredAll qualified candidates must pass a credit and background checkSWACU is proud to offer our people a career-oriented, professional growth environment that combines providing our members with first-in-class service ~ while having lots of fun at the same time!
