Overview

International growth is a strategic priority for the league. The 2023 season has been a pivotal year for the NFL in this regard with a broad slate of regular season games held outside of the US - 5 games in 3 stadia across 2 countries -- increased Club investment in international markets through our Global Markets Program (GMP), and continued investment in growing the game at every level, from building grassroots participation through flag football (NFL Flag), which will be added to the sports program for the LA28 Olympic Games, to creating pathways for international players through the NFL Academy and International Player Pathway (IPP) programs.

Underpinning this is the work undertaken by the NFL International team, across a variety of functional groups including Strategy, Marketing, Media, Consumer Products, Local Football Development and Sponsorship, to grow fandom, engagement, and our business internationally.

Summary

The NFL International Marketing Associate is a key member of the Global Marketing team and supports the Vice President and Director, International Marketing to drive international fan development, engagement and consumption. Responsibilities include management and execution of integrated marketing plans across key strategic channels and areas of focus in prioritized markets.

This role will require working closely with Global Marketing (central) team, Territory Marketing Leads and Functional Leads of key international markets to support both fan-building and revenue-driving areas of the business. The position will be actively involved in delivery and execution of global marketing strategy.

ResponsibilitiesManage and implement International Marketing functional and departmental policies, programs and initiatives across prioritized marketsServe as a people-connector within and across departments to carry out tactical and operational plans, applying in-depth knowledge to achieve Global Marketing priorities and department goalsServe as central marketing support, communicating and supporting territory marketing leads in existing markets to successfully deliver on local marketing plans and initiativesUse analysis, functional knowledge and experience to support development and execution of marketing plans in new and emerging marketsServe as central international marketing point of contact with Global Marketing team (US domestic + territory marketing leads), coordinating integration across key global marketing & communication campaignsManage budgets across relevant marketing areas, and support/coordinate on marketing administrative dutiesWork with Global Marketing, Data & Analytics, and Consumer Insights teams to track success metrics, and prepare reports accordinglySupport and deliver against cross-functional departmental marketing & communication objectives, including but not limited to: Media/Broadcast, Sponsorship, Consumer Products, Football Development, Global Markets Program, etc.Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degreeMinimum 2+ years experience - sports industry experience is a plusKnowledge and understanding of modern marketing mix and trends, e.g. digital, social, influencer & creator, growth audiences, 1-to-many and 1-to-1 marketingBasic knowledge and appreciation of American footballPreferred Qualifications

Experience working internationally and fluency in another language besides English is a plusExperience working in a start-up environment, or having helped establish presence for an international sports league/club outside the U.S. is a plusCommunications and PR experience is a plusOther Key Attributes / Characteristics

NFL employees are required to work 40 hours per week. During the season, the role will require flexible working hours including overtime (time worked in excess of 40 hours) and some weekendsRegular early morning and late-night calls are requiredTravel required around major tentpoles, including select events and meetings in key international markets

Salary / Pay Range
