About the job:Supporting design lead to design and produce Android design system assets for Handsheld, Foldable, and Tablet devices including Typographic styles, Iconography, Color styles, and Component variants for both System UI features and Android Apps.
With the understanding of the Android Design System, the designer will work with Android Marketing team to provide design guidance and produce assets with other Android designers for Google I/O, CES, and MBG press event.
Required Skills:
Familiar with Android Features and Products.Knowledgeable on Google Material Components and Visual Styles.Highly proficient at Figma.Has work examples on designing mobile Apps.Understanding concepts of a Design System and Tokens.
Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.6+ years of experience in product design or UX.Experience implementing visual design systems across platforms in an iterative software development environment, applying design tools (e.g., Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch).Portfolio highlighting multiple projects and your direct contributions.
Preferred qualifications:
Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.6+ years of experience in product design or UX.5 years of experience working in a complex, cross-functional organization. 2 years of experience leading design projects.Problem-solving skills and familiarity with technical constraints and limitations as they apply to designing for platforms such as desktop and mobile (Android).Ability to communicate conceptual ideas and design rationale within a user-centered design process.Skills in communicating and influencing product design strategy.
