FORTUNE MEDIA: SENIOR MANAGER, LIVE EVENT MARKETING

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated, extremely detail-driven, and results-oriented Senior Manager to join Fortune's Partnership Marketing team. This role will be committed to primarily supporting Fortune Sales in driving partnership revenue focused on Fortune's Live Event portfolio.

In this position, you will lead the pre-sales process of sponsor-based event-led marketing partnerships from ideation to RFP completion and proposal submission, with the goal of achieving revenue targets. You will closely work with team members from across the company, including Marketing, Conference Sales, Media Sales, Conference Programming, and Fortune Brand Studio, as you effectively manage and lead brainstorms, edit ideation, kickoff meetings, follow-up brainstorm recaps, custom decks and sales materials, primarily for Fortune Live Media. Ultimately, a successful Senior Manager will efficiently manage the pre-sales process by delivering event-led partnership proposals that exceed expectations and lead to sold partnerships.

Primary Responsibilities

Team members play an integral role in driving ad sales revenue and are responsible for conceiving and communicating creative marketing solutions and collateral that leverage the full portfolio of the company's multiplatform assets, with a focus on events.

The aim is to build platforms and franchises, not just materials. Messages and communications, not simply decks and sell sheets. Team members are expected to be engaged and be partners and strategists. They should treat their roles and responsibilities like they are a small business, and each team member is in charge of their business.

What you will do:Create strategic, visually compelling go-to-market narratives and collateral for Fortune Events, including but not limited to: RFPs, General Conference Sales Materials, Custom Slides, Recap Decks, Meeting PresentationsWork in partnership and seamlessly across all relevant areas of the organization (integrated marketing, editorial, consumer marketing, programming, social, production and audience teams) to develop event proposals for event-led and media-led campaigns that deliver on partners' strategic communication objectivesCollaborate with the team on ideation of new revenue focused on Fortune events and communitiesServe as Events liaison for the larger sales and marketing organization, representing event opportunities on internal brainstorms, RFP responses and client meetingsImplement efficient and streamlined marketing processes across a growing international sales and events teamWhat you will need:

You have 7+ years of proven leadership experience working in a media organization or agency, with extensive knowledge of live/virtual media and conference marketing and an in-depth understanding of the dynamics of sponsorships within these channels. Knowledge of the media landscape and different media platforms is a must.You are a best-in-class communicator/storyteller with expertise in B2B and B2C event marketing. You are known internally and externally for your strategic and well-written sales materials and pitch decks. You must be highly skilled in using PowerPoint to tell stories and translate ideas into impactful and marketable sponsorship opportunities.Who you are:

This hybrid position, based in New York, NY, reports to the Senior Director, Integrated Marketing, and is dedicated to supporting the Conference Sales team.

Total Compensation:

$100,000.00 - $125,000.00 annual base salary.
