The Adult Program Director will administer and develop a wide variety of educational, social, and cultural programs for adults of all ages. Specific responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

Find out exactly what skills, experience, and qualifications you will need to succeed in this role before applying below.Develop and implement Adult programs, workshops, events, and classes for the JCC that encourage membership growth, sustainability, and add value to the J.Create and maintain active committees with lay leaders and JCC members. Communicate and collaborate with these groups, responding to community interests and needs in developing quality programs.Set program goals that are specific, realistic, measurable, and attainable.Demonstrate knowledge of Jewish culture, values, and tradition. Utilize these concepts within overall Adult programming.Create and adhere to program budgets.Work closely with the Marketing team to develop comprehensive marketing plans for all Adult programs.Conduct evaluations of all programs through participant feedback forms and surveys. Share findings with committees and staff, and be able to make programmatic changes when necessary.Represent the JCC as a positive role model to others both within and outside the JCC, while always striving to achieve the highest quality of customer service to all individuals and groups.Collaborate with the Development team on implementing sponsorship programming being brought to the J.Participate/assist in other JCC community events/programs outside of the Adult Program Director role as needed.It is expected that the Adult Program Director will be innovative, creative, and resourceful. He/she should exhibit excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, and understand that the workload will include weekends and evenings. Attention to detail is key to success in this position, as well as being able to work on multiple projects at one time. Responsibilities may change as the needs of the JCC and/or community change; however, this will not be done without prior consultation with the employee. This position will also require the employee to be flexible with program scheduling and supervision. Evenings and weekend program engagement may be required periodically throughout the programming season.
