The mission of the Fit Science team, as part of Fashion Tech, is to innovate and develop scalable ML solutions to provide personalized fit and size recommendations when Amazon Fashion customers evaluate apparel or shoes online. The team is hiring an Applied Scientist who has a solid background in applied Machine Learning and a proven record of solving customer-facing problems via scalable ML solutions, and is motivated to grow professionally as an ML scientist.

Key Job ResponsibilitiesTackle ambiguous problems in Machine Learning and drive full life-cycle ML and GenAI projects.Build machine learning models, perform proof-of-concept, experiment, optimize, and deploy your models into production.Run A/B experiments, gather data, and perform statistical tests.Establish scalable, efficient, automated processes for large-scale data mining, machine-learning model development, model validation, and serving.Work closely with software engineers and product managers to assist in productizing your ML models.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONSPhD, or Master's degree and 4+ years of CS, CE, ML or related field experience.Experience programming in Java, C++, Python, or related languages.Experience building machine learning models or developing algorithms for business applications.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSExperience using Unix/Linux.Experience in professional software development.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $222,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Depending on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
