We are looking for a creative and fastidious seasonal Media Production Coordinator to support the video and media teams at the Academy within the digital marketing department. This role involves scheduling and managing meetings, taking detailed notes during meetings and pre-production development, processing invoices, tracking the video production budget, assisting with video editing and post-production, on-set coordination as needed, media management and file organization, ensuring effective communication with other departments, and other duties as assigned. These duties extend to work at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures. The optimal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, experience with Adobe Creative Cloud software, a skillset in workflow management systems such as Click-Up, AirTable, etc, sound creative judgment, an understanding of social media trends and formats as it relates to video, a prior background working with FTP systems and media folder structuring, attention to detail, along with creative and strategic skills specific to video as it relates to social media and digital marketing.

Meeting Coordination and Calendar Management:

Assist in the coordination of video team meetings and the communication with other departments ahead of production.Meeting Minutes:

Stay informed of all video ongoings and oversee detailed meeting minutes for various meetings, including all-team multi-department meetings, digital department team weeklies, social, video, and content strategy pillar weeklies, and cross-department meetings as they pertain to video.Team Communication:

Ensure effective communication and alignment across all Academy national and Academy Museum teams.Creative and Social Support:

Proactively pitch creative and strategic video concepts to develop across social and digital channels.Video/Audio Production:

Assist in the development, execution and post-production of various shoots. This includes hands-on utilization of Adobe Creative Cloud products including Premiere Pro.YouTube Platform Management:

Assist in the scheduling, copywriting and posting of videos across the Oscars, Academy Originals and Museum YouTube pages.Video Quality Control and Review:

Review video content before it’s published, with an eye for edit/color continuity and caption proofing.Asset Management and Tracking:

Assist in the management and coordination of various assets across departments. This includes the collection of project assets, delivering finals, and submitting to the Academy’s Film Archive.Invoice Tracking:

Assist in tracking and processing of invoices in the video department.Qualifications and Requirements:

A bachelor’s degree in film studies, video production, communications, or a related field or equivalent professional experience.2+ years of digital video experience (production and/or social media).The ability to work variable hours based on the Academy and Academy Museum’s schedule of events and activities outside standard business hours is required.Demonstrated understanding of video editing, content capture workflows, video codecs, and file organization software.Intermediate working proficiency in Adobe programs, graphic design and motion graphics experience is a plus.Excellent organizational and time management skills.An understanding or ability to learn and break down digital metrics via Google Analytics, YouTube Studio, and other platforms.A commitment to diversity, equity, accessibility, and inclusion.If hired, we require all employees to be vaccinated against COVID-19, unless a medical or religious accommodation is needed as determined on a case-by-case basis.The expected base hourly wage for this role is $23.00. The actual base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and other factors permitted by law.
