The JobWe are seeking someone who is an ideator and entrepreneur at heart. This role will cover all technological needs and opportunities that we currently face and will encounter as a growing startup media company. One day you may be figuring out how to best build a new platform for our premium readers and the next you may be focused on redesigning a portion of our website to include custom branded content that integrates a key sponsor across our platforms. Success in this role will require you to use a diverse set of development skills to meet the growing technical and engineering needs of SportTechie.You will be empowered to:Manage critical elements of SportTechie’s technical operations and opportunitiesUse a wide array of front-end engineering and development skills to advance SportTechie’s content, platforms and businessEnhance, manage and develop our website, desktop and mobile platformsExecute digital products from idea to launchWork closely with our managing team to help build SportTechie’s multimedia visionBuild outstanding sports technology platforms to connect and inform our audienceManage and collaborate with third parties and development and design firmsWork closely with our managing team to assist in all technical needs coinciding with advertising and sponsorship campaignsQualifications
What we are looking for:An entrepreneurial spirit who truly wants to help build SportTechieA wordpress expertA full-stack developer with diverse skills ranging from front-end to backend technologiesPrior development experience with CMS platforms, particularly WordpressMaintaining a technical edge for all aspects of SportTechie operationsAn architect, thinker, researcher, tester and tinkererSomeone who can help develop and lead a mobile-first strategy and product offerings across all platformsStrong understanding of digital media, SEO, social media and online content strategyExperience with Google Analytics as well as digital advertising platforms such as Google Doubleclick, OpenX and AtlasAdditional Information
Job LocationWork remotely with consistent daily communication with the SportTechie teamBeing in a major city is preferredCompensation$40/hour - 20 hours per weekThere is an opportunity to develop this work into a full time role with SportTechie
