Minimum qualifications:+ PhD in Research-related field, Computer Science, Machine Learning, Information Systems or equivalent practical experience in a senior research role.+ 15 years of experience managing research and insights teams and in both quantitative and qualitative methodologies.Preferred qualifications:+ Experience solving real-world user challenges at scale and building a user-centered culture.+ Familiarity with Google surfaces and experience in advertising (viewer and advertiser) and advertiser goals (i.e., direct response, demand generation, brand advertising) and marketing practices.+ Ability to formulate scientifically challenging problems and develop and implement novel solutions.YouTube Ads UX is responsible for crafting ad experiences for YouTube. We also enable Google to engage with customers at scale.The US base salary range for this full-time position is $253,000-$363,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Learn more about benefits at Google (oogle.com/benefits/) .+ Build research tools and processes to center the UX organization and all partners in a deep understanding of our users.+ Manage managers of UX Research Quantitative and Qualification teams, oversee their work, processes and capabilities, and continue to build the organization.+ Collaborate with senior stakeholders to develop strategies that are user-centered and backed by research.+ Look into research methods within YouTube Ads, raise the quality bar for research methods within the team and across Google.+ Serve as a thought leader to guide and influence the direction of YouTube Ads, using both quantitative and qualitative research.
