Organization DescriptionPAVE Academy Charter School is a public charter school in Red Hook, Brooklyn, NY. PAVE provides a K-8 experience that lays the foundation for a productive and choice-filled life. We build our students brick by brick, equipping them with the academic, social, and emotional skills that they need to become critical thinkers, problem solvers, overcomers and leaders in their communities.PAVE is inspiring learning beyond the classroom in our After School Enrichment Program. Our program ensures a safe and nurturing space where our students can grow academically, socially, and emotionally.Opportunity SummaryPAVE seeks an After School Enrichment Specialist for the 2024-2025 school year. Enrichment Specialists will design and implement lessons based on their designated speciality. All After School Enrichment Specialists will report directly to the After School Director. The program runs from September 16, 2024 through June 5th. The schedule is Mondays through Thursdays 3:45-6:15 pm and on Fridays from 12:15-3:45 pm.How You'll Contribute+ Embody, advocate and operationalize the mission, vision, and strategic direction of PAVE+ Collaborate with the Director of Afterschool to create and sustain a positive and structured After School culture+ Design and Implement a series of lesson plans in your speciality area+ Serve as a role model while demonstrating professional behavior+ Maintain strong, professional relationships with colleaguesWhat You'll Bring to the Team+ A strong commitment to PAVE's mission and vision+ An uncompromising belief that all students can learn+ A relentless work ethic and a high degree of patience to push through difficult challenges+ Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a team+ Excellent organizational skills+ At least two years of experience working in with youth in a group setting+ Effective youth development strategies and conflict resolution+ HS Diploma (required)+ Must be at least 18 years of ageOur Core ValuesMore Than a School At PAVE, we are more than a school, we are a family.
