**Job Description****The Position**Reporting to the Director of Learning and Development (L&D), Library and Engagement, the Associate Director is accountable for providing leadership for all aspects of the Organon Research and Development (ORD) digital library. This leader is the single point of contact across all research and development functions and other divisions of Organon for the digital library and leveraging the assets within. The leader is to act strategically and creatively about service delivery, digital collection development, benchmark library services and industry standards, oversee, guide and direct library team and be responsible for overall budget management.The lead Influences and guides senior leaders and fellow founders on leveraging current digital assets. Seeks new opportunities to leverage our existing assets while adopting to changing business needs and strategies.Establishes and manage relationships with external associations and industry peers relating to digital library management to increase our awareness and gain external insights. Represents the ISI organization at both internal and external forums on digital library management capabilities.**Responsibilities**+ Leads the digital library management capability and provides strategic direction to all R&D activities looking to leverage the digital library assets.+ Develops, drives and executes long-term vision and strategy for digital library management.+ Ensures digital library is meeting needs and expectations of R&D and collaborative partners.+ Provides industry expertise and practical knowledge of current and emerging digital library management approaches within R&D and across the organization.+ Influences R&D leaders to see new opportunities for leveraging digital library assets.+ Proactively identifies new capabilities and enhancements that will align with key business needs.+ Represents the ISI organization at both internal and external forums on digital library management.+ Ensure high ethical standards and a culture that values honesty, integrity, and transparency.**Skills**+ Knowledge of searching databases, scientific publications and competitive intelligence resources+ Ability to collaborate and partner with a variety of internal stakeholders and external partners+ Experience with library budgets and vendor management+ Demonstrated strategic thinking skills+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills+ Excellent strategic, analytical, organizational, and project management skills+ Strong computer skills, including use of advanced Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams) as well as library systems and databases**Experience**A minimum of ten (10) years of professional library experience with at least two (2) years of supervisory experience, preferably in a pharmaceutical or health sciences library.**Education**ALA-accredited MLS or MIS, or equivalent advanced degree.Secondary Language(s) Job Description**Who We Are:**Organon delivers ingenious health solutions that enable people to live their best lives.
