CCP Document Services Technical EditorDepartment:WO-CC CCP ComplianceLocation:Carlsbad, NMBe part of the nation-s only repository for the disposal of nuclear waste known as Transuranic (TRU) waste.Salado Isolation Mining Contractors, managing and operating contractor of the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP) is currently seeking a qualified individual to serve as aCCP Document Services Technical Editorto join our team located in Carlsbad, NM.The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the preparation, review, approval, and issuance of controlled documents. Will be responsible for reviewing, editing, and proofreading various technical documents to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency. To implement these responsibilities, the candidate will interface with organizations across the DOE complex to ensure documents comply with Quality Assurance (QA) and various regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and has excellent communication skills (written and verbal).Responsibilities:+ Perform document control duties, from preparation to issuance, in accordance with approved CCP procedures.+ Coordinate document processing activities with various organizations (including DOE/Carlsbad Field Office [CBFO], CCP staff, M&O staff from other DOE facilities, and WIPP site personnel).+ Collaborate with subject matter experts to clarify technical information.+ Safeguard sensitive documents and ensure compliance with Unreviewed Safety Question (USQ), derivative classification, Trade Compliance, Public Release Review requirements.+ Ensure documents and document processing comply with Procedure Professionals Association (PPA) and established QA standards.+ Maintain distribution and control of documents throughout their lifecycle using Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS) and Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) software.+ Process different types of documents, such as technical, administrative, plans, and reports.+ Prepare and support audits, inspections, and QA surveillances.Exempt Grade Levels (28-32)Minimum Requirements:These requirements must be met to be considered for this posting. Uploaded resumes and applications are the means of determination.+ Bachelor-s degree with three (3) years of professional experience, or+ Associate's degree with five (5) years of professional experience, or+ High School Diploma or Equivalency with eight (8) years of professional experience is required.+ Demonstrated experience implementing document control processes and proficiency in associated systems such as Adobe Acrobat, EDMS, and Microsoft Office Suite.Must be at least 18 years of age; U.S. citizenship is required except in limited circumstances.
