Associate Producer (Freelance)_

**Overview & Responsibilities:**The Associate Producer for our CBS Sports Soccer team will contribute to our live studio shows in both our control and tape rooms. The ideal candidate is passionate about the sport, works well in a team environment, and exhibits accountability across their daily responsibilities. The Associate Producer must also show professionalism and do their part to maintain a vibrant work environment.A successful AP with our team must think outside the box, strive to improve daily, and possess a meticulous work ethic in completing their daily tasks.This is a Freelance position based in Stamford, CT.**Responsibilities include but are not limited to** **:**+ Use deep knowledge and strong techniques to generate and support ideas based on betting, live events, breaking news, and other developments in the soccer world+ Build relationships with producers, on-air talent, and graphics to ensure the highest quality of video tape assets+ Understand how linear and social production align to create compelling studio content+ Anticipate, identify, and respond to relevant trends, developing storylines and noteworthy performances for soccer coverage+ Communicate in a timely and effective manner with producers to provide thorough, creative, and accurate video content+ Proactively identify and suggest segment or video ideas for studio coverage+ Develop original, creative ideas for video elements that present analysis, storylines, and trending issues in soccer+ Ability to clip and edit/format video materials through Adobe Premiere**Basic Qualifications:**+ Excellent knowledge of soccer is required+ Minimum 3 years in the production field+ Bachelors degree or equivalent experience+ Extensive knowledge of how a studio show control room works and operates+ Must be able to work nights, weekends, holidays, and flexible hours+ Must be able to be in the studio on show days in Stamford, CT**Additional Qualifications:**+ Able to work independently while also thriving in a team-oriented environment+ Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, proven ability to multitask, and demonstrate a keen attention to detail+ Demonstrates ability and desire to work in a fast-paced environment under deadline, to prioritize assignments, and ensure accuracy+ Must be a self-starter with demonstrated initiativeCBS Sports, a year-round leader in cross-platform sports coverage, broadcasts a portfolio of events on the CBS Television Network, including THE NFL ON CBS; college football, including the SEC ON CBS; college basketball, including the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Championship; golf, including The Masters, PGA Championship and PGA TOUR; soccer, including the UEFA Champions League and NWSL; and CBS SPORTS SPECTACULAR.In addition, the division includes CBS SPORTS NETWORK, the 24-hour cable home of CBS Sports which televises live sports programming throughout the year, including college football and basketball games, UEFA Champions League and Europa League action, Italy's Serie A matches, Concacaf national team competitions, as well as a full slate of original programming and studio coverage.CBS Sports also delivers an extensive lineup of global soccer coverage on Paramount+, including every UEFA club competition match, all Serie A matches as well as Concacaf national team competitions, and produces INSIDE THE NFL for Paramount+.
