The Role

The Netflix Creative Innovation team is currently seeking a Project Manager based in Los Angeles, CA to assist in the mission of leveraging emerging technologies to reduce timelines, increase member engagement, and enable more creativity on Netflix productions.

About you

You are a highly organized and proactive project manager with expertise in managing R&D projects and productions leveraging emerging technologies and workflows, including AI, real-time, and transmedia. You excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, maintaining attention to detail while handling multiple responsibilities. Your strong communication skills enable you to effectively coordinate cross-functional teams and engage with industry partners to drive the integration of innovative technologies. Passionate about production innovation, you thrive on driving change and supplying cutting-edge tools and techniques to enhance film production.

What You’ll Do:

Maintain detailed tracking and organized documentation of all projects, insights and strategies, ensuring easy access and reference for reporting and data analysis.

Assist with research and documentation on new technologies and workflows, compiling findings to support strategic decision-making.

Oversee the progress of various projects from inception to completion, ensuring all milestones and deadlines are met.

Handle incoming requests from cross-functional Studio and Product teams within Netflix, prioritizing and delegating tasks to ensure timely and efficient responses.

Provide regular updates to the Manager of Creative Innovation on project statuses, internal R&D efforts, and strategic initiatives.

Act as a liaison between the Manager, crossover teams, and external stakeholders to ensure clear and consistent communication.

Leverage project management tools and software to track project progress, manage tasks, and facilitate team collaboration.

Identify potential issues and bottlenecks in project workflows and proactively suggest and implement solutions.

What We’re Looking For:

5+ years of industry experience leading complex, cross-functional production innovation projects, including aspects of emerging technologies across pre-production, production and post.

Broad understanding of all phases of film and series production and emerging technology landscape.

Experience driving change through inspiration—indirectly leading peer teams, technology partners, vendors, and local industry associations.

Strong organizational, analytical, clear communication and presentation skills.

Ability to thrive in a self-directed, fast-paced, and frequently changing environment.

Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $50,000 - $245,000.

We also offer paid leave of absence programs. Full-time hourly employees accrue 35 days annually for paid time off to be used for vacation, holidays, and sick paid time off.
