Experiential Designer

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Description The Experiential Designer is a key member of the firm\'s architectural, interior design and experiential design team that will balance internal and external client work. The role includes leading and working on diverse project types, including experiential design, graphic design, identity / brand design, print publications, information graphics, signage, and wayfinding. This person is a knowledgeable professional who is creative, curious, accountable, inspiring, and driven to pursue design and communication excellence. The role requires a creative vision, strong work ethic, and a high level of engagement with the experiential and architectural design team and external clients, helping lead the graphic efforts on projects ranging from high-level facility master planning to the initial stages of the design of sites and buildings, to internal branding which represent the mission, purpose, culture and brand of Performa and our clients. This position reports to the Studio Director. The Fundamentals Facilitate client in the discussion, identification, and review of the experiential directives for projects using the Performa Process Communicate directly with internal and external clients Define visual communication goals and articulate how they are supported by design decisions Be accountable for the details of experiential design work and assist others with quality assurance reviews Participate in design workshops and critiques Work with in-house engineers for lighting and plumbing integration into creative solutions Design and create materials that reflect the identity of the firm Develop solutions within a budget and on time Willing to learn and grow experience with experiential graphics and signage The Fine Print Bachelor of arts or similar degree in graphic design, industrial design, or architecture required 3 years of environmental graphic design experience; professional design and graphic production experience is a plus Proficiency in Adobe Suite, especially Photoshop, Illustrator, In-Design and Microsoft Office applications Knowledge of CAD Tools, Revit not required, but a strong plus Ability to multi-task and balance the design of various projects Professional acumen and comfort presenting to internal and external clients Typographic excellence and sound knowledge of graphic design principles and processes Strategic thinker able to establish goals and solutions for effective visual communication Excellent listening skills and an ability and willingness to translate feedback into design development Ability to analyze data and create effective and accurate information graphics Knowledge of printing and production processes Experience working within brand guidelines and developing complementary branded material Team player attitude; caring; demonstrates respect for others Work is performed in an...
