Job Description

Job Title: NICET III Sprinkler Designer

Position Type: Full-Time

Job Summary:

gpac, a 20-year recruitment firm is partnered with a well-established fire sprinkler service company currently seeking a highly skilled NICET III Sprinkler Designer with a robust background in designing water-based extinguishing systems. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of five years of design experience and a solid technical foundation in sprinkler system design, with a strong desire to advance professionally within our company.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years experience designing water-based extinguishing systems, NICET-III (preferred) certification, 2+ years (min) HydroCAD software knowledge OR sprinkler design experience, a thorough understanding of relevant codes and standards, and the ability to manage projects effectively.

Key Responsibilities:Design and Drafting:Design and produce NFPA-compliant submittal drawings for water-based extinguishing systems.Utilize AutoCAD, HydraCAD or AutoSprink, and Navisworks for drafting and design tasks.Perform hydraulic calculations and ensure designs meet project requirements and code standards.Demonstrate a commitment to learning and growing professionally within the company.Lead design projects and collaborate with team members to ensure successful project outcomes.Technical Skills:

Proficiency in AutoCAD, HydraCAD or AutoSprink, and Navisworks.Strong understanding of hydraulic calculations.Certifications:

NICET Certification is required (NICET III level preferred).Knowledge:

In-depth knowledge of State Building Codes and NFPA standards (NFPA 13, 13R, 13D, 14, 16, 20, 409).Abilities:

Ability to perform site surveys and gather data accurately.Effective prioritization and follow-through on project tasks.Strong project management skills including manpower forecasting, project tracking, and material listingDetail-oriented with a commitment to quality control.Proactive and able to work independently as well as part of a team.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to lead and mentor others.About the Company:
