Job Summary: The Marketing Communications Manager reports to the Director, Marketing, and is part of a diverse team of marketing professionals who work together to execute a comprehensive marketing strategy. You will lead two individuals on our team while also working collaboratively with peers and external marketing partners. The ideal candidate will have experience in creating robust content strategies, communications, marketing collateral and creative as these will be your primary responsibilities and are an important component in strategies that support strong brand presence and customer relationship growth. You will be valued for your contributions to the creation of content and execution of strategy and your leadership of team members and projects. The person in this role also: Establishes work processes for team members and ensures a high-level customer service is delivered and promotes and fosters teamwork across all areas of INTRUST. Represents INTRUST Bank in all they do in the community and is focused on the development of new business relationships. Effectively manage others (currently two employees on the marketing team) by consistently applying INTRUST’s supervisor and manager expectations: relationship management; feedback; coaching and development; establishing effective work culture expectations; critical thinking; business acumen; and resource management.

Advance our content strategy to ensure sustainability and aligning with business and marketing objectives. Guide internal and external resources in the development of this strategy including the creation of the communications and creative to support it.

Contribute to the content creation process including writing for advertising, blogs, sales materials, customer communications, and web.

Stay informed about industry trends and competitor activities to anticipate risks and ensure marketing communications are effective and compliant.

Monitor content performance and analyze feedback to identify areas for improvement and optimize communications and content strategy for maximum impact.

Lead marketing efforts in customer communication initiatives. Work collaboratively with subject matter experts and internal teams to deliver a seamless customer experience through effective communication strategies.

Oversee the creation of marketing collateral and ensure materials help to achieve business goals and contribute to a positive customer experience.

Cultivate and maintain brand consistency across all internal and external touchpoints. Provide leadership on the team for adhering to brand identity, design, and voice guidelines.

Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal partners, marketing colleagues, and marketing vendor partners to anticipate needs, identify opportunities, and thoroughly understand communication objectives.

Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or Advertising required or the equivalent of a bachelor’s degree in years of role-related experience. Minimum of seven years’ experience in marketing communications required. At least five years’ experience supervising multiple employees is required. Experience in the industry preferred. Experience in B2B marketing helpful.

Required Skills and Knowledge: The ideal candidate will have proven experience in development and execution of a content strategy, preferably in both B2C and B2B marketing, experience in managing others in a marketing function, a strong aptitude for writing in multiple communications scenarios, and experience in creating content in multi-media forms. This role requires the candidate to think strategically and critically, possess strong writing skills, be familiar with graphic design principles, and prioritize relationships and collaboration. We’re looking for a candidate who is experienced in leading others, and is skilled in using technology including, Microsoft 365 and Teams, project management software, and has familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite. A candidate with experience using a variety of tools for content creation from AI to videography is a plus.
