About the role

Art Directors are responsible for the overall visual aspects of an advertising or media campaign and coordinate the work of other design staff, such as graphic designers, motion designers, and illustrators. Their duties typically include establishing the overall look for a campaign or media piece and providing constructive feedback on designs and artwork. They help lead and evolve the more junior members of the team, and help convert the client feedback into direction that adheres to a unified vision for the overall look and feel of a campaign. Together with the Creative Director they are in charge of the execution of pitches and projects and report directly to the Creative Director.

Create and design various digital mediaCollaborate with fellow designers to develop the best design work possibleCreate internal materials including brand assets and company postsWork with a wide range of media and graphic design software to create static and motion designs. (ie. Photoshop, illustrator, After Effects, Premiere, etc)Ideation

Help team members dissect the information in the client briefs and the strategy documentationFormulate ideas in text, and collect visual examples for brainstorms'Research new and upcoming channels/platforms suitable for our clientsQualifications

Bachelor's Degree (BA) from four-year college or university, or at least four years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Portfolio of work with a wide range of creative projectsKnowledge of layouts, graphic fundamentals, typography, and webExperience with digital media and understanding of social media platformsAt least 4 years' experience working with a visual mediaAt least 2 years' being point person or in the leadership role for a team and/or projectAt least 1 year experience in client facing communicationProficiency in Adobe design-related software with a focus on Photoshop and Illustrator.After Effects experience and intermediate knowledge is a plus.Additional Computer skills preferred: Microsoft Office Suite; Google Docs Suite

The pay range for this role is:

130,000 - 140,000 USD per year (Studios)
