SUMMARYThis role contributes to both sales and marketing strategies and uses analytical thinking to make recommendations on business decisions. The Customer Marketing Specialist will be responsible for assisting in the execution of customer marketing tactics in addition to providing retailer marketing support and leadership to ensure the selling organization has the tools needed to meet our objectives. This individual will work with cross-functional teams to create and implement programming designed to increase consumer engagement while elevating the consumer experience along the path to purchase. Other responsibilities include coordinating promotional and new item sales kits, managing sales premiums and POS inventories, leading & managing retailer sampling projects, display design and execution, responding to requests from our field sales team, and planning and executing trade shows.

The ideal person will have 3 years of CPG shopper and customer marketing experience and/or sales support and a working knowledge of developing in-store promotions & programs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Project Leadership: Display process, sampling projects, special packs/customer-specific SKUsManages projects from start to finish, including timelines, trackers, and implementation, and leads the cross-functional meetings that apply to projects.Offers financial, strategic and analytical thought leadership to help influence decision makingWorks cross-functionally to develop, organize and manage budget for Tradeshows/Expo WestSupports emerging channel development including Food Service, ecom and other new channels by providing data and financial analysis.Collaborates with sales, marketing, graphics, customer service, and operations to ensure our selling organization has the tools to meet our annual sales goals.Contributes to developing, producing, and implementing the approved customer-specific marketing plans.Coordinates, develops and approves our Grocery, Mass, Natural, eCommerce, Food Service, and Export Channel sales materials including point-of-sales items, launch kits, displays, tradeshow items, racks, samples, etc. while managing and adhering to timelines for execution and in-market launchesManage the inventory and distribution of selling materials, collateral, kits, and samples to the field sales team, brokers, distributors, and customers.Works closely with Commercialization Lead on assisting with project management of product launches. Manage sales deadlines for new product submissions, packaging images, price lists, compliance, etc. for retailers.Manage Coupon process: create barcodes; collaborate with Sales Planning Manager on trade budgets and coupon management and redemption expenditures; oversee invoices and maintain coupon tracker.Manage communication with the sales team regarding packaging changes. Ensure timing is communicated, sales images are updated, and retailer content sites are updated (IX-One, 1WorldSync, etc).Participates in regular customer marketing and sales team conference calls and meetings.Manage data systems for our retailers to ensure their systems have the most current brand content.Manage retailer compliance sites for customer requirements including WERCSmart, FoodlogIQ, Smarter Sorting, Repositrak, etcOffer sales support by keeping sales tools (price lists, spec sheets, etc.) up to date.Assist with administrative tasks such as coding invoices and planning sales team meetings three to four times a year.Ongoing communication with sales on Media Hits/Key Marketing Communication initiatives and updates

REQUIREMENTSExperience/Education:

3+ years' experience providing marketing, project lead, and sales support for a selling organization, preferably with a consumer products companyBachelor's Degree preferredKnowledge/Abilities/Skills:

Ability to travel 10 - 15% of the job

Work EnvironmentEmployee works in a busy administrative office with moderate noise as well as visiting other offices, warehouses, production environments and external partner sites.

Office Hours/Location:This position is based in Rohnert Park, CA. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 - 5:00 pm. This is a hybrid role offering the flexibility to occasionally work remotely. Expected in-offices days are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Subject to change

Compensation range is $79,200 - $103,950

Compensation is determined based on non-discriminatory, business-related factors, including but not limited to, training, experience, education and/or professional certifications, geographic location, and market data.
