JOB SUMMARY:
Buccino Leadership Institute Director of Strategic Communications
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Director of Strategic Communications executes the digital strategy to promote and enhance the reputation of the Buccino Leadership Institute. Responsible for creating and maintaining digital content such as our social media, publications (i.e., articles and newsletters), photography, and our BLI webpage. Director will develop and manage a strategic communications team to execute tasks effectively and in a timely manner.
• Develop a plan to achieve these goals during the academic year
• Provide schedule for on campus work hours
• Attend monthly meetings with Assistant Director and/or other BLI administrators to provide updates
• Develop and manage shared drive for content
• Recruit a strategic communications team
• Brainstorm social media campaign ideas and article topics for website
• Serve and/or delegate a representative from the strategic communications team to attend events such as our Student Initiatives Fair, Open House, and/or Visit Days
• Perform other duties and tasks assigned by BLI administrators
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Experience working on a communications team for an organization
• Proficiency in writing, oral communication, and editing
• Understanding of best practices used for social media and publications
• Management, organization and time management skills
