Here’s what you’ll do as part of the team:

As a Sr. Marketing Designer, you will play a pivotal role in bringing to life our brand experience through impeccable design and creative executions. In this role, you will act as a design and brand steward on a dynamic and multi-faceted marketing team, where you will spend ample time designing, iterating and partnering with channel stakeholders across B2B and B2C teams. You will design impeccable solutions from presentation decks to event assets and landing pages on any given day. The right candidate will be someone who can take big creative swings, and also produce impeccable utilitarian designs. This role is responsible for managing and executing projects from concept to delivery with a significant amount of autonomy. This role reports to our marketing design manager, and works closely with both Product Design and Marketing stakeholders.

Who you are:

Versatile designer with proficiency in multiple design disciplines Scope of work will be diverse, including big projects that require creative ideation and concepting to production-level design projects. Breadth of projects include, but is not limited to, event brand activations, email campaigns, paid performance ads and social media creative. Designing B2B sales enablement collateral will be an important aspect of this role, so you will also be an experienced presentation designer.Equal parts left- and right-brained In addition to executing a wide range of design projects, you will be adept at managing your projects with critical partners and stakeholders while meeting goals and deadlines. You have the experience and skills to confidently present design ideas and manage feedback. You will also possess the soft skills and judgment to know when to push back or escalate decisions that impact design quality and work product.A visual storyteller with deep understanding of brand You’re a tastemaker as much as you are a creative problem solver, and you bring a strong point of view of what’s on-brand vs. what’s on-trend. You will be responsible for safeguarding, evolving and championing our brand identity as an in-house designer who regularly partners cross-functionally, as well as with agency partners and vendors.

Here are the skills and experience you’ll need to be successful:

6-8 years experience in visual design; experience in brand marketing and / or in-house preferredA design portfolio that reflects your branding experience, along with your best work examplesProven experience designing for B2C, as well as B2B audiences, especially presentation decks, conference experiences, and collaborating with sales teamsUnderstands the difference between brand design, production design and product design, and knows which design levers are needed on any given projectProficient in Figma, Adobe CC, Google SuiteCan take an undefined design problem, and solve from concept to executionDesign fundamentalist knowing the rules, but knows how to bend and break them to create innovative solutionsClear understanding of visual hierarchy, balance, rhythm, typography and colorCreative mindset and ability to adapt to changeAble to accomplish their given work quickly and thoughtfullyComfortable juggling multiple projects and tasks at once

Highly desired skills and experience:

Proficient in After Effects and motion design; ability to both design and implement motion graphics is strongly desiredDesign systems thinking and tooling that helps scale design processes and resources (i.e. automation and templating tools for non-design end users)Experience working with vendors and agencies to bring large scale events to life

Here's the Pay Range:

At Apartment List, we carefully consider a variety of factors to determine compensation for each position, including the role, level, and work. The US base salary range for this position is:

Zone 1: $88,000 - $107,000 + bonus + equityZone 2: $82,000 - $100,000 + bonus + equityZone 3: $75,000 - $91,000 + bonus + equity

This reflects the compensation target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Please note, the compensation details provided do not include benefits and perks that we offer.

We also rely on market indicators along with considering your work location, job related skills, experience and relevant education and training, to determine compensation that is fair and competitive for you. Apartment List will consider paying compensation near the higher of the range in exceptional circumstances, where candidates have the experience, credentials or expertise that would warrant such consideration.
