Director of Institutional Sales Enablement

on the Institutional Marketing team, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving the strategic vision and execution of comprehensive client-facing marketing strategies in close collaboration with our sales and relationship management teams, to support the attraction and retention of large employers.In addition to an earnest desire to help people, we are looking for the ideal candidate to complement the team’s existing talents. For this role, we are seeking someone who is a strategic leader with a consistent record of developing and implementing highly creative enterprise-level sales enablement strategies spanning the full funnel from prospecting through to closing and retaining business. This role will allow for highly visible, cross-functional partnership and exposure with ample growth opportunities.RESPONSIBILITIES:

Work closely with sales, relationship management, and other cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and effective execution of sales enablement initiatives.Define, develop, and implement a comprehensive sales enablement strategy that enhances top of funnel lead generation, effectively nurtures leads through the funnel, and successfully closes new business.Partner closely with relationship management team to develop innovative marketing strategies to drive loyalty and retention with existing clients.Lead the creation of custom presentations and proposals for large, strategic opportunities to win new business and retain existing clients.Partner across Institutional Marketing team to influence the strategy for other forms of content and collateral (i.e. research, whitepapers, brochures, videos).Craft account-based marketing strategies for high-value prospects.Drive innovative programs to improve win rates and generate results (i.e., sales coaching programs, winback strategies).Establish operational processes and analyze the effectiveness of programs, using data to drive continuous improvement.Manage sales tools (i.e. LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo) that improve the efficiency of the sales team’s prospecting strategy.Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitive landscape to ensure strategies are current and relevant.Lead and manage a small team of marketing professionals, including setting goals, providing ongoing mentorship and development, and encouraging a collaborative work environment.REQUIREMENTS:

10+ years of relatable B2B marketing experience, preferably in the financial services industry.Tangible examples of past success attracting and retaining enterprise clients, including but not limited to innovative strategy development, alignment, and implementation.Ability to develop engaging sales narratives, gain partner buy-in, and carry through to execution.Strong writing skills, including experience with short- and long-form content.Proficient in Powerpoint creation with a “design eye”; Marketing samples may be requested.Strong time management, project management and prioritization skills.Effective communication and relationship-building across all levels of the organization, including executive leadership.Proven track record collaborating and influencing across functional and organizational boundaries, and able to challenge the status quo.Skilled at leading multiple, simultaneous projects efficiently and independently on deadline.Goal-oriented approach, rather than a task-oriented approach.Willingness to roll up sleeves and pitch in across the team as needed.Thrive in a fast-paced and forward-thinking environment.Experience leading a team.Bachelor’s degree required.Edelman Financial Engines takes a market-based approach to pay. The expected base salary range for this role nationally is

$121,100 - $161,400.

However, final base pay will be carefully determined based on several factors, including responsibilities, job-related skills, relevant experience, geographic location, and market conditions.
