Come as you are, be yourself, and let's grow together.What You'll Do:As the Principal UX Researcher at LogicMonitor, you will improve the user experience of our products by planning and conducting research to inform product decisions. You will shape the research program, create processes, educate colleagues on research best practices, and help plan the research roadmap.Reporting to the Director of Design, you will drive design and execution of both generative and evaluative studies of new and existing features, as well as collaborate with the Dev, PM, and Tech Writing teams to deliver new features and usability improvements.Here's a closer look at this key role:Manage and drive the research program at LM, communicating insights across the organization using both qualitative and quantitative methods.With PM and other stakeholders, plan and execute research to understand customer needs, goals, pains, and opportunities.Collect, analyze, and synthesize customer feedback from multiple channels including online communities and interviews.Analyze and report on customer behavior tracked in our analytics tools.Oversee and coordinate the continuous research program which includes weekly RITE user testing sessions:

Schedule weekly calls with designers, customers, and PM.Maintain our base of users/participants and recruit new participants.Maintain and improve the repository of research insights.Ensure the program meets designer and team goals to identify and fix usability issues, convert insights into actionable design improvements, and identify new strategic design/product opportunities.

Conduct competitive analysis for key features and keep abreast of industry trends, key innovations, and leading analyst opinions, in partnership with PM and others.Mentor colleagues and help the team adopt standard processes and best practices for research.Partner with research leads in other departments, like customer success and marketing, to align work, share expertise, and avoid duplication.Actively propose and drive research initiatives aligned to our goals.What You'll Need:Bachelor's Degree required; MS Degree in HCI Design or social sciences preferred.8+ years of experience in user research of SaaS applications.Solid research portfolio with examples of tangible insights delivered for various audiences and aligned to business goals.Demonstrated expertise in interviewing, usability testing, generative & evaluative research methods.Demonstrated expertise in planning and executing RITE user research.Experience working in a fast-paced environment and using research to help reconcile opposing viewpoints.Benefits:At LM, we believe that a total rewards package should be built with the whole person in mind, so we’ve designed a total rewards package that’s almost as complex as you are.
