We are looking for our next teammate who will raise our bar and make us better.What we need:We’re seeking a Senior Audio Programmer who enjoys a collaborative and creative work environment and is looking to lead the effort to push the boundaries of cutting edge Audio. Research, design, implement, and debug audio tools and techniques to deliver an industry-leading audio experience.Responsibilities:Lead the technical design of audio technologies for current and future projectsEvaluate and optimize the interaction between audio system and other build and runtime systemsEvaluate and optimize the export and build pipeline for audio contentEvaluate and implement techniques to reduce work needed to author the audio environmentDesign and implement code that facilitates the interaction between our game engine and Audiokinetic’s Wwise audio middlewareConsult with audio designers to identify bottlenecks and ways to improve their pipelineOptimize audio game subsystem by taking full advantage of target hardware and architectureMaintain documentation on audio system that’s understandable by engineers and designersResearch coding techniques and algorithms in order to keep current on technological developments and advancements in the game industryParticipate on development of low level systems like streaming, generic serialization, entity system and moreRequired Qualifications:7+ years of programming experience on commercial software projectsExperience developing for AAA gamesShipped one or more AAA game titlesExperience with multi-threaded programmingExperience developing for multi-platform software projects, including game consolesExpertise in C/C++Experience with Audiokinetic’s Wwise tools and librariesStrong 3D math skills and audio/DSP conceptsAbility to research, analyze and optimize code to meet performance requirementsAbility to learn and master new technologies and codeAbility to work independently and efficiently under reasonable deadlinesAble to work and communicate in EnglishPreferred Qualifications:Experience in Unreal EngineExperience with WWiseThe pay range for this position in California at the start of employment is expected to be between $98,400 and $145,620 per year. However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
