Job Overview:Surface Conditioning serves a multitude of high-end markets, with more than 50% of its sales in the electronics industry, particularly for the semiconductor and EV battery markets. We are making essential products necessary in the production of semiconductor chips and EV batteries, driven by ever-increasing demand on cloud storage, IoT, and EV, supporting our purpose of Making the World a Better Home.

We have been present in the semiconductor market for several decades. Our alumina particles developed for the semiconductor industry have been recognized by industry leaders as outperforming the competition. We entered the power electronics market with new generation CMP slurry products for the SiC market about 5 years ago and are currently growing our market share in this market. As new needs have emerged in the semiconductor market, we are developing newer products to address them, directly for fabs or for CMP (Chemical Mechanical Planarization) slurry manufacturers. Our value proposition is based on our ability to innovate on both the particle and chemistry side for this market, which is unique in this industry.

We are looking for a business-oriented key account and technical Director to grow this market, with 10+ years’ experience in the semiconductor market in a combination of roles including new business development, R&D, and key account management. This position reports to the General Manager of Surface Conditioning and is supported by a technical manager located at our plant in France.

The incumbent will have a central role driving the growth of this business, working closely with our R&D teams located in California and at the global R&D center of Saint-Gobain in North America, as well as our local sales managers to ensure day-to-day interaction with global customers, and the plants manufacturing products for this market.

This role requires excellent communication skills in building strategic partnerships and a clear, decisive way of communicating to adapt solutions for different needs from various internal and external stakeholders. This position is based in Worcester, Massachusetts or Anaheim, CA, where our slurry manufacturing facility and chemistry R&D team reside. This position requires ~30-50% travel time, including international travels.
