Position Summary:

The Director of Sales and Marketing is a strategic leader responsible for accelerating revenue growth and market penetration. This high-impact role requires a proven track record of building and leading high-performing teams to achieve ambitious sales and market share goals.

Location:

Washington DC Metro Area – Hybrid role

(candidate must reside no more than an hour from either Jessup, MD or Arlington, VA)

Salary:

$85,000 – $145,000 total compensation (including performance bonuses and deferred compensation)

Responsibilities:

Provide leadership, guidance, and support to the sales team. Set clear expectations and hold team members accountable for their performance.

Develop and implement strategies to achieve sales revenue targets. Monitor progress and adjust plans as necessary to meet or exceed goals.

Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute integrated marketing and sales campaigns and leverage the data and insights to optimize lead generation, conversion, and customer acquisition.

Optimize sales and marketing operations for peak performance.

Drive efficiency and effectiveness by streamlining processes, implementing best practices, and leveraging data insights.

Oversee and ensure the alignment between sales and marketing teams to deliver exceptional results.

Develop and execute budget strategies to maximize ROI and drive sustainable growth. Track key financial metrics and provide regular reporting to inform decision-making.

Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for the sales team and track performance against targets.

Provide regular reporting and identify areas for improvement for the sales team.

Required Qualifications:

10 years of proven experience in a sales management or supervisory role. Must demonstrate effective leadership and team management skills, with a track record of achieving revenue targets.

Minimum 5 years in a sales representative role.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).

Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute sales plans.

Experience in budget management and financial analysis.

Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications:

Strong analytical skills with experience using data to inform decision-making and optimize performance.

While not strictly required, previous experience in a related industry would be beneficial.

This position is contingent upon passing a background check.
