None**************** A RESUME IS REQUIRED FOR THIS JOB POSTING ****************Attach a resume and complete only the required fields to apply for this position.Position Overview This key position reports to the GCI Marketplace Director and closely consults with the Chief Operating Officer and other GCI leadership on a daily basis. The person in this position will work primarily with senior staff, the Governor's communications staff, media, policy, and program staff of other agencies.Essential Functions

Oversees the planning, development, and ongoing administration and evaluation of the public and stakeholder communications and public relations components of Get Covered Illinois (GCI).Oversees the planning, design, development, and ongoing administration and evaluation of the Get Covered Illinois public website and the GCI brand.Procures and manages contracted vendors to fulfill GCI’s marketing and communications needs.Represents GCI at public forums, state, and national meetings, before legislative committees, with federal agencies and officials.Allocates resources for functions directed and managed by direct reports.Serves as full line supervisor, assigning and reviewing work and providing guidance to assigned staff.Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.Minimum Qualifications

Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years of college.Requires prior experience equivalent to four (4) years of progressively responsible administrative experience in a public or business organization.Preferred Qualifications

Prefers at least four (4) years of experience in public affairs, public relations, journalism, or a closely related field, and at least two (2) years in a leadership role.Prefers at least four (4) years of experience with brand development and management.Prefers at least four (4) years of experience developing marketing strategies and campaigns.Prefers at least four (4) years of experience with digital media development and management.Prefers at least four (4) years of experience gaining thorough knowledge of agency programs and service objectives, activities, and operational systems.Prefers at least four (4) years of experience gaining extensive knowledge of agency policies and procedures.Prefers at least four (4) years of experience exercising judgment and discretion in developing, implementing, and interpreting departmental policies and procedures.Employment Conditions
