We are responsible for the end-to-end digital and physical Guest experience for all technology & digital-led initiatives across the Attractions & Entertainment, Food & Beverage, Resorts & Transportation and Merchandise lines of business as well as other initiatives including MyDisneyExperience and Hey, Disney!

This role sits in the Product Design & Creative organization within Technology & Digital for Disney Experiences. It works closely with product and tech from across the company.

The Manager, Product Design will report to the Sr. Manager, Product Design and will sit in Glendale, CA or Orlando, FL.

This is a Full-Time position.

About The Role & Team:

As a Manager-Product Design, you will encourage product design thinking, drive innovation, guide and mentor a team focused on crafting intuitive and sophisticated digital experiences across our e-Commerce portfolio. Your objective is to take our digital product experiences to the next level through collaboration across multiple sites, together with cross-functional product and technology teams.

What You'll Do:

Lead team members in the practice of design, providing craft and career mentorship, feedback, and pushing team members to further their craft at all stages of the design process, including concept sketches, wireframes, compositions, prototypes, digital art and design specifications

Coordinate resourcing for the team, ensure accurate billing processes, and contribute to forecasting and accrual processes to maintain financial integrity and support organizational objectives

Engage in estimation and planning across the organization, voicing recommendations, feedback, and solutions from a technical perspective. Also aligning to the overall project objectives to deliver in-scope & in a timely manner.

Proactively supervise and assess design trends and emerging technologies across the industry to advise strategic decision-making and recommendations

Identify and resolve problems for the team, projects, and within the direct organization. Employ good judgment and business insights in solutioning, relationships and mentor to resolve problems within their team and with direct partners.

Build and maintain positive relationships with team members and cross functional partners at all levels to drive strategy, collaboration and innovation

You will be encouraged to stay up to date with design trends and emerging technologies

Represent the Product Design & Creative org as a leader with vision

Required Qualifications:

8+ years of related work experience

Excellent communication and leadership abilities, to ensure effective growth and development of team

A leader that people choose to follow; someone who motivates and challenges their teams and self, to deliver the very best in everything they do while fueling the creativity of the teams around them

Someone who enables an inclusive culture that recognizes a diverse group of backgrounds, points of view, and cultural histories to fuel innovation and belonging

Comfortable working and leading in an agile environment

Experience across multiple areas of business with the ability to lead projects and strategic development across different lines of business

Familiar with using Figma, Adobe suites, crafting interactive prototypes and have the desire to develop further technical skills

Preferred Qualifications:

10+ years of design experience

5+ years leading and mentoring a team of designers

Experience with premium brands and shown success with designing and shipping outstanding web, mobile web and native app experiences

Required Education:

Bachelors Degree and 8+ shown experience.

Preferred Education:

Master’s Degree and 6+ shown experience.

The hiring range for this position in CA is $145,600.00 to $180,000.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
